How does everyone like their stakes...I personnaly like mine medium rare but sometimes I like them rare if I needed that extra boost of energy.

medium rare/Medium anywhere in there is prime. My dad eats his filet's rare which is basically raw and I've tasted it before and it tastes great but I can't get over the 'still bleeding' thing

as long as they're not cooked to a crisp, i dont care, it all tastes the same to me, so whewnim at a resteraunt i say u pick and they go'u need to give us sumthing' so i just say a random 1

^LOL I did that at a really fancy restaurant and they brought the chef out and everything it was sooooo funny at the time but now that I look back I think I kinda pissed the chef off.

By the way, Iceisscary, rare is not basically raw. It's just still a bit bloody. BLEU is basically raw... my brother eats his steaks like that, it's... odd.

I'm a steak connoisseur, I eat it at least once a week. My personal favorite is a nice thick tenderloin, but I'm a big fan of ribeye too. Medium to medium rare is best. Lately I've started making carne asada with a nice NY strip. The right marinade with the right cut, plus a little McCormick's steak seasoning makes a better steak than most expensive restaurants, and I'm not talking about Applebees.

Yeah it was kinda strange but I also held up like 20 orders from coming out because the chef said i was his number one priority because I couldn't decide so he brought out a rare on a mediuin rare and a frozen one naturally I choose the frozen one just to be an asshole.

Supa, I seriously doubt any tenderloin on earth can beat a well prepared filet mignon, wrapped in bacon, with bernaise sauce.

Filet mignon is overrated and expensive. But for special occassions, it is good.

While on the subject, I think peppercorn and teriyaki steaks suck. Usually the extra flavor is covering up a bad cut.

yeah somewhere between rare and medium rare is good for me, and a good t-bone steak is probably the best kind of steak there is

i like my steak medium-rare with some steak seasonings. i think its like montreal seasonings. its like garlic spice, its so good on all meat.

If you want to try something delicious, make a steak sandwich. Buy some thin mini-steaks and fry them in a pan with garlic and worchestere. Stack them up on a toasted roll with a slice of swiss. It's great. This is not a steak and cheese sub, much better.

Speaking of raw steak, there's a korean dish that is a raw steak with a raw egg on top. My friend is chinese and his family eats some strange food, but even his mom can't handle it.

i have two personal favorites. the first was the t-bone that i had at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Maui, really expensive, but believe me it's the best steakhouse on the planet. But to me, it is equally as good as a 1.5 inch thick NY strip with blackened montreal spices cooked medium and a little A1 original to have with it. I love throwing stuff on the bbq out back to try to make the perfect steak. Such good eating.

The taste of rare is good, but the appearance doesn't appeal to me, so I usually go for medium rare or medium
