State of the Union Address

i love how he calls himself an independent, that way if i wanted to go complain to my principal (toooootal hippie, crunchy as you get, hairy legs and all) she will just say that she doesn't have to bring in a republican to state his views because Bernie is independent...great, i'm gonna try anyway.

did you notice how many people running for office this year ran in the party called "anti-bush", what the hell is that? how can you run when your basis for getting into office is to try to override the leader of the government, dems and republicans need to start working together and stop trying to just get more power. it would help our country so much.

the reason why they did that was because they do not want to be associated with his 16 percent approval rating. would you want to be associated with someone who 3 out of every 4 Americans hate?

exactly, hes so fake. He sat and said that tarrant was the bad guy for running smear ads when bernie did it to until he realized he could turn it around and make tarrant look bad. He says he is a man of the people and an average joe, first of all he from new york city and pretends to be a local or something, annnnd i saw him driving around in a $100,000 red convertible with the plates "bernies" on it. yep hes a real environmentalist.

If the bulb was dropped by our bi-partisan light bulb changers it would be blamed on the war in Iraq and sectarian violence.

dude, we need some decent candidate. fuckin, bush shouldnt have ever been elected in the first place, he lost the damn election for crissakes, hilary blatantly isnt a choice, shell lose simply because of gender (im not making a personal statement, just stating a fact), so what are we left with? cheney? fuck that shit man, the dude is all about haliburton and pipelines in afganistan, pure evil. we dont have a choice, wether youre democratic or republican. Whoever said we need to have both parties work together deserves a medal. i appluad you sir.

That decent candidate IS NOT Hilary, regardless of gender. I agree with you on Bush, he fucked up. Big time. I also agree with you on Cheney. He doesn't deserve a shot a the presidency. So this is the problem...there aren't many decent candidates that are willing. And I'm and Indepent by the way... The parties do need to come together. There's no way out of this if they don't....

First Bush did win by the standard that the US has used for all recent elections.

Second, your forgetting these candidates/possible candidates:

Democrats

B Obamo, J Edwards, A Gore, J Kerry, B Richardson, T Vicsack, C Dodd, D Kucinich, M Gravel, and J Bliden

Republicans

J McCain, R Guliani, M Romney, N Gingrich, and S Brownback

Sam Brownback came to my school last October. Newt Gingrich could be a hopeful

you mean by blatantly rigging the election? yeah, you could be right.

did you see brownbacks speech? the guy cant even talk. if we lose our goodness we'll surely lose our greatness? come on now, it sounds like a bad dr. seuss verse, if i wanted a guy in a goofy hat in the whitehouse i wouldve voted for bush.

while i might not love bush, he has balls, he obviously acted on his ideas, something the democrat party cant really speak on. I think Bush's ideas are wrong, but at least he ahs a plan

If we switched to a popular vote electing a candidate (which might not be a bad thing) people like you, gore, leiberman, etc... would still bitch if a candidate lost the popular vote but would have one the electoral college.

Yeah Bush rigged the election. He is also meeting with the prime minister of Canada and the president of Mexico to make North America one country called Nora.

I would also like to commend you for being a parasite to our democracy by basing your vote off of looks rather than ideaology. If we vote on looks we might as well elect someone like Jessica Simpson. She is fake but at least she looks good.

the man is a megalomaniac. While i cant be sure of the authenticity or intention of the following quotes, they are in fact quotes:

God speaks through me"- to 60 amish people, in PA, july 16th 2004.

God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them." -june 26th, 2003, to an assembled group of palestinian leaders, in palestine.

He acts, but with what justification, and what probable cause? striking blindly is worse than not striking at all, dont you think?

Ok, says that he has cut the budget in half ahead of scedual, do you know how he did that? all he did was not include the 32 million dollars or so that we spend in Iraq everyday, how can you not include that in the budget? it is money being spent from a set ballence it needs to be included in any budget for the country. He also says that we can solve the national debt by not raising taxes, that means spending cuts, he did not say what was going to be cut. He also said that we would increase spending in dozens of places, so we will increas our spending buy back debt and not raise taxes. I don't know who thought they tought this administration economics, but the certaintly failed. Next problem: He says that the economy is on the rise, and the average wage is increasing, and it is, that is true but it is only increasing becuase of a few people who are making so fucking much compared to the rest of us, that they alone can offset the fact that for most people, their income is shrinking. not really proud to be an american right now

are you kidding? i clearly was not stating that i vote based on looks. its not a democracy at all if the winner is decided by who fixes what electronic ballot boxes, so id like to point out that being a so called "parasite on our democracy" is impossible if there is not a democracy to begin with. What standards are you trying to uphold? theres overwhelming evidence that ballots were tampered with, and therefore it was not a fair election. to judge me by my political persuasion is nothing short of foolish, and irresponsible on your own part. To ridicule my views is nothing short of disrespectful, and unessececary. I do not approve of bush, simply because hes made decisions that do not represent my views. Im not a democrat, nor do i feel any afilliation to a specific political party, whoever represents my values best, gets my vote, nomatter if they are legitimately out of the running before it starts or not. Theres true democracy for you. i hold having a decent grasp on the english language slightly above blind political loyalty, thanks.

Actually, he talked about regulating earmarks for a couple of minutes. I believe he said something like "exposing them to the light of day" elimination of earmarks would greatly decrease gross government spending.

He did actually, but he didn't put much emphasis on HOW all this would be done. He didn't go too far into deatil, and just did the same old George Bush thing. I'm not really a fan.

Sorry, I feel like a dumbass now. I read your post to fast, I thought you were comparing their looks to Dr. Seuss. I stand corrected.

As far as the rest of your post, I agree. I do not associate with a political party but rather my ideals. I dont know about the ballot boxes though.

dont sweat it, shit happens. and nobody really knows for sure, its clear that something went down, i was simply assuming the worst.
