Starting rollerblading

i have looked around on forums and in cults and haven't found much on this topic.

i have been watching some rollerblading videos, and would like to try it out. any suggestions on gear would be great.

also, pick up a pair of razors or deshis, they both fit really differently though. if you wanna do more street, get razors for sure

finding good skate spots is half the battle, look for long ledges and handrails with grass or soft dirt on one side to learn on, check out all your areas skateparks, try to network with people that skate and just get out there and start progressing, shit is tight
 
more specifically go with a hardboot skate. Razors are probably the best skate to learn on.

go with any number of the Cult series. Gen series is a more expensive more experienced model.

Roces are good as well. people talk shit on the Oli Shorts but they are one of the funnest skates ive ever ridden.

and DONT go for Deshis when youre starting out. i skate CH1s right now and they can be tough to skate because they are a softboot and you have to be confident on your feet.

Xsjados are rad. get some Xsjados if you have the money to spend.

Valo is also an extremely good skate. dont believe the anti-hype. Valos are excellent. hardboot with a softboot look.

If I tried rollerblading where i live I would get laughed at by 12 year olds...

I seriously haven't seen a single person rollerblade outside of the venice boardwalk in years. I know being a skier its slightly hipocritical but blading is soooooo lame.
 
^haha yea just pull a sick trick like 270 on switch up 630 out and rollll away if someone says that rollerblading is gay
