Starting Montana cult

i am so glad i didn't spend the cash on a big sky pass this year, i would be so pissed. do your sources say if it will be ok to hike the terrain the tram accesses? if so, the people that are willing to boot pack or skin will reap the rewards of freshies off lone peak.

That would be a super long boot pack to the top of the peak. If they're not running the tram, I probably won't see you up there.

I am in limbo on this myself, I hope the tram runs, because they shut down challenger for wind sometimes and what would that leave. I am kinda down about this, I just want my cousin to come back from vacation and get me the for sure, he gets back on next week.

My only thing is that Boyne would be shooting themselves in the eye if they did a no tram christmas.

I don't know about that, the majority of Big Sky's customers are rich lame people that ski the lower mountain. The only people that ski the tram are people without money.....although I guess there's the people that ride up the tram, gawk, and ride back down.

true, it will hit the locals hardest, I keep praying this is not true or another option is being considered.

Tram is gona be fine, I guess lift ops came back early and are gona do it now. Glad to hear that shit.

The Big Sky footage looked sick in the Warren Miller movie, Off the Grid. I've never skiied there, so it was cool to see.

yeah whatever, but if you think Warren Miller is cool, and anything but the least core, most $$$ influenced voice in skiing that you are F&%$ked too. He uses Jeremy Bloom in his movies, I grew up playing football against Jeremy and skiing against him, he is so far from anything that NS members stand for. You must wear Tommy Hilfiger, dream of the yellowstone club, and respect Boyne too????

The least "core" movie. What the fuck is that about. It's pretty sweet to see pros riping up Lone Peak. Sure he has a seggy on Jeremy bloom and his football career, you dont like it whatever. To be a two sport athlete like that is amazing. Dreaming of wearing Tommy Hilfigger and dreaming of the Yellow Stone club. Warren Doesn't make movies for the 'NS" community bud. That's why we have LSS (very sick by the way) and other companies like poor boyz etc. But calling it what you did is personal opinoin I guess...

As you could probly tell my question mark doesnt work.

First of all, I've never owned anything from Tommy Hilfiger, I am very grateful that my family can afford passes to Big Moutain--which does not even compare the yellowstone club (except I guess there are more and more rich snobs around)--and I've never even heard of Boyne.

Secondly, Warren Miller movies aren't my favorite either. They drag on waaayy too long. But, I was given a free ticket to go see it in our theatre, and Push played afterwards (again, msp has been on the decline, still worth going to for free), so that was an added incentive. I will probably never buy a Warren Miller movie.

Nevertheless, I thought it was cool to see Big Sky.

But none of that really matters right now because it's snowing!!

Parts of it were cool, yes, and there was some really sick pow for sure. Although, it did seem like it would never end.

*If anyone remembers the three kids saying who they want to win at the U.S. Open, one of them lives here in the fish. I think he was the one who wanted dumont to win. I thought that was pretty cool.

that was not a sick movie, not at all. Did you know Jeremy Bloom may become the next voice over in his films? And how come when I ski what they skied in Big Sky it never quite look slike that, kinda like fast food burgers, they spruce it up for the commercials. Warren Miller is a nice guy, but his addition to the ski world has gotten worse and worse since the early 90s.

oh no you did not...dude, if it wasnt for warren, skiing might as well be as popular as kurling.

dude how can u hate on warren miller like that.. if it wasnt for him skiing would not be as acnoledged as it is today. sure his movies may get boring but seriously dont hate on the man. and who said you cant be a prep and ski, nobody.

AS I said, I am not hating on the man, my parents live a block from his son in Boulder Colorado. I like Warren, and have had a good convo or two with him about skiing. I never dogged preps either, I also know Jeremy Bloom, played football and skied against him, I was a HS football and baseball player. But I can tell you personally that he is not the kind of skier that deserves credit anywhere near this forum. He is a gymnast, and footballer much more than a skier. Ski terrain across this country that he features and you will find that he has great editing techniques. Just the facts here, sorry.....

maybe, you are dogging Stump films pretty hard though, we like a new breed of skiing!!!! Flat open meadows are for skiing not watching.
