I started a Montana happenings cult. I want to get some people to shoot me updates, events, happenings from qround the state. I am trying to get Montana some exposure and need your help. I am a freelance writer who's career depends on how exciting I can make Montana and our events, rippers, and spots. Any Montana rippers wanna join hit me up. Thanks guys.
 
I want cool Montana kids, not a mess of kids. I need the bros and ladies who are just down right sick. I want to know who is gona win the comps before they start.
 
I need help, not being a prick, I want to get some solid ski writing done this winter and need my fellow Montanans to help me with ideas and shit. Just looking for others who want MT to get the respect it deserves.

Why don't we just use the forum? It gets all the action already, and for the people who don't post as much there not going to know about the cult. More action in the forum!

Yeah, dude, the Big Mtn. comps are so sick and prestigious, they need out of state recognition. (sarcasm)

I'd join, but I think the forum is the way to go.

 
i did a montana cult once when i was a noob and had no clue what the regional fourms was, it sucked and was worthless. your better off just ubdating things on the regional fourm cuz more people would see it.
 
the cult is alive for now, once the season starts it will be happening. I am not interested in the board really, I wantto now who I am talking to, sorry but Its gotta be cult.
 
The comps are gay and just letting them be is not how they get cooler, the cult is made for this, I am going to try and get our story out there, I wrote for a big ski magazine last year and they were like "well, find something to write about in MT and you will get paid", lets not just let Montana be put out of the picture, we have sick mountians and skiers. Are comps suck and we have no real superstars but we are headed in the right direction. I am goiing to cover all the events I can and I want to know what riders are gona show and kill it, I would also like to talk with them before and after.
 
I do too, but kids deserve a chance here too, the cold temps will always keep the christmas crowd to a reasonable level. Why go to Montana over Colorado or Utah, there really isnt a reason for the average gaper. We can make a "hard core mecca" of real skiers who like to rip the whole mountain, just gotta get the "right" word out.
 
he lived here for awhile, he went to the park city school or whatever. He is from Kalispell but doesn't rep it too hard.
 
I am a student and also have a day job working for the state writing about scientists. I have some shit going on with Outside Bozeman, SBC skier, Banquet media, and maybe some others. Freeskier is a frat, powder is tough to get into, and the others don't really do it for me. I am putting out a sweet Bridger story soon, I have gotten the best people to talk to me. Bridger piece may be in a free mag though, kinda want it that way.

cool, ya i have talked to cody before about various topics, mostly photography and video. i am new to bozeman, but have been out taking lots of photographs and would love to get published even if its pretty minor deal.
 
sweet, I will let you know, I have a photo jib shoot coming up, my friends have property up on Bozeman pass with steep pitches and tow in access. Features litter their property and it will be sweet, I will be inviting some NS members to spice things up with my friends. There is one huge propane tank jib that will be nuts.
 
that sounds awesome. i would love to come shoot just for fun. i haven't shot much ski photography and i really want to start shooting whenever possible.
 
its probably like 60 feet long and 15 feet high, the gaps will be the key, i will put up video. Gotta talk my buddy into letting me build huge ramps on his driveway, I will post photos of it dry this weekend or next week.
 
I skied the ridger yesterday, wow that was sketchy, dropped a ten footer onto one foot and it was shitty. We were so bored and stoned we just had to do it, skied the thigh in the dark. We thought we were the dumbest until we saw some guy try and straightline bronco and get totally fucked. He cartwheeled into rocks on teles.
 
That sounds like not fun^^ Hook me up with some cult mang, and call me already and let me know whats up, Its rail season, so anyone that likes hitttin rails let me know cuz we are gunna start settin up and shootin like uber soon
 
its still alive, and is getting better. ski season is about to begin and then it will go off, I am pretty much spending my day web editing now and will be on posting pics and shit like crazy.
 
Just wanted to plop this bomb down, not 100% sure of its accuracy but pretty reliable, the tram repairs may be getting done now. The part needs to be sent to Big SKy and will arrive ..... in january, you heard it, it may be January before its running full bore. I really hope my source is wrong, but he normaly isn't. Big Sky won't comment as of last week. Hoping to confirm before i posted, but source says its happening.
