Starlink

Any of your parents get invited yet?

Mine were paying seventy five dollars a month for a plan with decent speeds but a one hundred gig per month cap before overages start

Starlink has given them more speed than they know what to do with but occasional outages that they only notice while gaming

I’ve also noticed that as starlink sends out beta invites, other companies have began to compete for the market

Is this the future?

I got an email saying I could hop on today, and I'm pretty interested. Seems like a pretty solid plan and a neat thing to be a part of.

I signed up for the beta, I could get it in PC now but I have pretty good internet so not really worth spending $600 + 100/mo when my internet is included with my rent haha.

I think it will change the lives of many people who haven't had access to high speed internet, I think 5g has more legs for the "future" but starlink is certainly taking steps to connect our entire world.

Starlink is 100 bucks a month? Hard pass on that.

Yeah I'm sure as time goes on this price will go down, but right now starlink is only worth it if you don't have access to DSL/Cable.

I pay $110 a month for 25/10 and with an average ping between 18-45. I’ll wait til someone here gets it and can test it then drop The cash on it.
