anyone seen the newest in the now 5 movie series??? i watched last thursday, and my thoughts:

sweet ass movie, they really did a better job than episode 1, unfortunately jar jar binks did not die (my god i wanted him to) but instead they totally downsized his character, so it's all good. The action scenes were amazing, the filming was really good, and all done with digital cameras (first movie to ever be made without exposing a single frame of actual film)...the acting was pretty good, and natalie portman was damn hot (as always). my final thought....watching yoda fight was worth the 9 bucks for sure, that little guy sure can move!!!...all in all, good movie.

I thought the movie sucked ass.. at first it thought it was good then saw it stoned, and just made me realize how gay the movie is. The actions scenes are done pretty well, but why the hell were they fighting an a gladiator arena? That was just dumb.

The dialogue in the movie looked like it was written in 20 min. The story was very weak. And by very i mean it had no depth.

go through the script in the movie and there is not one thing worth qouting in this movie.

The acting was horrific, but it could be the script either way the acting sucked.

then what the hell was with obi won going to dennys for.

Episode 2 makes episode 1 look like a classic.

I agree with Schwags on this one..I really think they could have done a better job with the movie and carrying the storyline on, dont get me wrong, im a big fan of star wars, and it was a good movie, but it could have been so much better.

Oh you all know it was awsome. And going to theater to watch it made it about 20X better. Cause that soundtrack was so amazing. But will just have to wait until Episode 3 to see when Baby Luke is born.

the movie was sweet, i mean really sweet. i loved all th landscapes and sh*t. it was so well done, but it sounded as tho they recorded the movie, then added th sound. i think thats typical of all star wars thought. and they said that when they were doing lightsaber fights, the fighters would make voooooooshh lightsaber sounds, so they had to re-film a bit of it. yeah, too bad they cut out jar jar, i think maybe he should become a jedi! haha that would be a joke, and i think that it should haev been called preparation for the attack of the clones, because they're really wasnt that much attacken!

And why are c3po and r2d2 on tatooine? There first time on tatooine was in a new hope.. Remember? C3p0 said he didnt know where they were when he was there so why in a new hope why wouldnt he remember the planet that he was created on?

There is so many things wrong with the movie.

They dont build mace windus character, we just presume hes a badass.

Why are there little kids with ligthsabers?

Remember what luke had to go through to get his ligthsaber.

Jesus i hope lucas dies so someone else can make the third one.

this movie looked like it was writting in a week, and no thought went into the writing, instead it went into special effects. They were good, but they dont make a movie. yah it was fun to watch, but thats all, its not a timeless movie like the first 3, all it is a action movie for the year 2002, its not star wars.

 
I think if you expect it to even compare to episodes IV, V, VI then you're setting yourself up for a huge disappointment. I agree that it was a good movie, but not a good star wars movie, but I think it was better than episode I in every aspect. Perhaps after being so disappointed after seeing the first episode, I expected nothing from Attack of the Clones, and that's why I enjoyed it.

star wars is overrated completely, they are alright movies...but thats all they are is movies, people take it way to far

no question that the 4,5,6th movies are way better...and every movie has it's flaws, but what're you gonna do...and the gladiator scene is because that's the way they were gonna kill anikan, obi-wan and padme....it sorta made sence...i dunno, i enjoyed it...mostly because it was WAAAAAYYYYYY better than episode 1

 
Overall I thought it was a pretty good movie. but I couldn't stand Boba and Jenga Fett in this movie. Boba Fett NEVER takes off his helmet. It is who he is. The movie contradicts almost everything about Boba Fett. He is not a clone!!! And he had Slave 1 built specifically for him. it wasn't his fathers. Boba Fett was the best charecter in the original movies. showing him as a kid ruins it. That is just my view

If the movie wasn't a star wars then it would have been great but it doesn't compare to 4,5, and 6. Lucas went overboard with the computer generated and digital camera shit. There wasn't a scene in the movie that didn't have some sort of computer generated crap. The scene where Padme and Anikan and C3PO almost get killed on the conveyer belt looked like something out of a Nintendo game.

The worst part was the cheezy love story. Could the acting/script be any worse?

Boba was a clone. It was U who missed that Pocketrocket. and when I say that slave one was made for Boba, not Jango, I am refering to the books which have been out a while longer and which personally I thought were better than the last movie.

I didn't mind the movie, but I thought the love scenes took forever and they emphasized them. There were a lot of scenes that also took forever.

The one thing I really hated most about the movie is the ending. They say right in your face 'TO BE CONTINUED'. They only showed half the movie, therefore I should only pay 6 dollars for it. This is the first movie where I have seen where they do not complete it, they just leave you sitting on the climax waiting for the next one.

Uh, 1080enemy... who decides the story of Star Wars? You or George Lucas? Did the movies ever say that Boba wasn't a clone? Did the movies say that he had Slave I built especially for him? No, that was the books- but George Lucas made Star Wars and he decides what the story is.

As for me, I just got back from seeing it for the third time, and for me it just gets better. Schwags, how can you say that there were no quotable lines? The entire movie was hinting about things to come. One of the best thing about the original Star Wars is that it was witty, and Lucas brought it back with this one. And hell, if you go back and watch the originals, the puns are all pretty corny anyway, and the animation sucks. So now it's better, and we complain.

As for saying there is no complexity, that's pretty much bullshit. It's taken me three showings to finally start putting together all about how Dooku and Palpatine are working together playing both sides so that Palpatine comes into power.

And what do you mean that it was C-3PO and r2's first time on Tatooine? Hell, 3PO was built there... and of course R2 came along with Anakin and Padme. And as for him not remembering Tatooine in A New Hope, well hell, we're missing a piece of the puzzle here. His memory probably gets erased in Episode III or something. Besides, he got his head knocked off, there's got to be some memory loss from that. :)

And Jar-Jar's fate was well-deserved, much better than death- he practically destroyed the Republic by himself! That's the best ending for Jar-Jar that we could have.

And the kids with lightsabers were in training... I'll betcha they were just training lightsabers. And all Luke had to do to get a lightsaber was have Obi-wan give him his father's old one. And remember how they kept on saying that Luke was too old for the training? See, all those little kids were ahead of him- they start young.

Yeah, so, resnick, did you ever notice that The Empire Strikes Back didn't have a conclusion??? Shit, man, do you think we'll just make Episodes I, II, IV, V, and VI and just leave out three. That's the thing, man, it's like novel installments in a magazine. It's not complete until you have all of them. It's a 15-hour movie masterpiece.

about there being too much computer animated special effects in the movie - Lucus himself said that it's overused in an interview with Maxim magazine. when asked about it he said

'film is a special effect. you take photographs and run 'em one after another, and it's a trick. Sound, colour, wide-screen--all theres things expanded the boundary of that trick. When sound came it was overused, and there were a lot of bad movies. Same thing with colour--everybody used it and abused it, and there were terrible movies.'

so I have no clue why he would use so much special effect in the video if he is well aware of the fact that he used tons of it in the movie...

i have the vid on computer but i have been sitting here for the last 20 minutes debating on wether or not to watch it, is it worth watching? or should i be doing better things with my time like making my self sound like an idiot on this site, like i am with this post

 
I'm not saying Lucas is wrong, the movie was probably how he had it designed from the begining. Its just that I read some of the books first, and I felt that they portrayed boba fett better.It is just my opinion. I probably worded my last post poorly. sorry. Don't get me wrong though. I thought the movie was great. The story was quite compicated, palpatine and doocu played them all like fools.

and who actually ordered the clone army?

pro's arn't just normal people. they are robots made by the ski companies
