How would it slide? Has anyone or is anyone currently using stainless steel in there backyard setup? Found some cheap stainless steel pipe and don't want to waste my money on it if its gonna suck
 
My friend has galvanized steel coping on a mini ramp in his backyard. seems to slide well (on skates anyway). The galvanization keeps it weatherproof i think.
 
It will also kill you if you try to weld it. It releases cyanide gas. Have no idea how stainless would slide, but I imagine it would be fine.
