Just picked up a T2i for this winter and am wondering how to make a stabilizer for my cam. I would like to do something over the shoulders so that it is very stable when skiing around with it.

My friend that shoots music videos uses like pvc pipe for his over the shoulder stabilizer, anyone have any ideas how to make something or that has made something before can you help me out?

thanks

cheers

oh here is a picture of his setup.

ummm. i guess you need something that goes in the tripod mount. you can buy stuff like that at home depot or lowes. Then just try and make it look like it does in the picture. Thats a pretty funny device.

If you want a super ghetto one, just take a string, tie a washer to the end of it, and then a screw that fits in the tripod mount on the other end. With the camera at eye level, the string should hit the ground so you can stand on the washer which would help stabilize the camera. I found a video, which makes my instructions redundant...
