Anybody go there? I know what Canton's like, but how's the school? Small classes? anything else you have to say is cool too, unless it's "Canton's got nothing in it" because I know that.
 
two kids on here are gonna be freshmen there.. a girl and a guy. hopefully theyll read this and talk to you
 
ive been down there once... the campus looked pretty nice if i remember correctly. athletic facility looked amazing.
 
My sister went there. seemed fine to me and she liked it alot. top notch sports facilities as mentioned above.
 
my dad went there and loved it, i am going to be a senior in high school this year so i am looking at it right now, small class size, top athletic facilities for D3,pretty good skiing near it
 
not that it matters, but how preppy is it there exactly?

and also, is there stuff to do there? because I know Canton's not the most exciting place.

and one more thing... Do you feel like you matter there? I'm sick of having huge classes (or even small ones) where they teach you and that's it; no extra care or thoughts from teachers/administration, etc.
 
i dont know exactly what u can do around canton, but montreal and other of canadas great cities r close if canton isnt big enough for u
 
its preppy as fuck..my sister is a senior there this year and i have been up a bunch to party and stuff...theree are a few sick snowboarders that go there but besides that be prepared to pop the collar my friend

Half of the kids there are "normal" and the other half is pretty preppy. Canton isn't too exciting, but we make do.
 
yeah only an hour and a bit outside ottawa. the people i met there were pretty cool. ive heard stories of some sick parties down there too.
 
Caitlyn told me about her asking whether the gasolina song was sung by environmentalists, and then you almost lost it andd had to leave cause the question was so dumb.

a lot of rich spoiled kids who don't really realize it...but I still ilke the school. and Aragorn from LOTR went there :)
 
What's the weekend life like? First college I went to, everybody went home and weekend life was awful. I'm hoping slu isn't like that?
 
SLU is too far from anything for people to leave for the weekends mostly haha. Everyonce in a while we'll take a montreal trip or something, but for the most part, its on campus and at the 3 or 4 bars in town. Its pretty monotonous, so you kind of have to like it because if you don't, there isn't much alternative. The outing club has a house and they party there have run trips pretty much every weekend to different places to canoe, ski, climb, hike, etc. There are sororities that have parties. Everyone goes to the same few bars tuesdays, thursdays, fridays, and saturdays. Fall and Spring everyone golfs cause its a pretty preppy student body, winter a ton of people ski.
 
I like the golf thing, becuase that and squash keep me occupied. I don't need much activity to keep me busy, just people around. The party scene won't matter much to me, because I don't drink, but I can deal with it because it's college. Thanks for the replies dude, I appreciate it.

howd u find out if u got in so soon?
 
my dad went there and they have this wierd thing where if your parent went there, they can call on a certain day to find out ur decision early and no i dont know that kid but good if he likes it

I hope its not as preppy as people on here are making it out to be. or ill be fucking miserable.

Iwant to apply to Uvm next year

just to have more options, I know id fit in perrrrfect at uvm
