SSX On Tour...the truth

This is quite the argument, but I hear everyone arguments, but it gets to the point, when a ton of industry people work on it, something better has to come from it.

I will buy it, and alot of people will, and it will be arcade style, no question, it is SSX, but with everyones imput and help of people the game will be better. I'm going to buy it, play it, and most likely complain its way to arcadey, but it will be a step in the right direction.

I would obviously much rather see a Amped style game for skiing, which may happen, in the near or distant future.

I think that's it's pretty good for a first true newschool game that many companies are in and that anthony is working on it.

and by those people involve I can't see how it will give a bad reputation to skiing. Even if it is arcade and it show how we do tricks too it's great for newschool publicity. And then why can't we give it a chance to ea. Let'S see the game before bashing on them we asked them a ns game for years now they are doing one so we should only thanks them to doing one and just tell what we want.

Maybie it will have some pretty cool tricks on an arcade course... just give it a chance 1st

i agree with everyone when i say, even if its not super good like Amped 2, its still going to be or have freeskiing in it. whether or not its good doesnt matter, what matters is that at least we'll have SOMETHING to rally around as our own that isnt shit like JMMT...i will be definetly buying it....because its a start

i would love to see a realistic ski game, with lifts and a real mountain GTA style where the game never needs to load and you can go offtrails, and there are other skiers and snowboarders among you

its ok if ssx on tour is a bullshit game, as long as it sells alot and gets skiing games making lots of money... then the game designers will figure out that skiing games = lots of money, and will produce one that is more realistic and more like amped

I reccomend buying the game. I used to ride ATV's like crazy and I wanted a game really badly. I was tired of playing moto x games. Kawasaki came out with the shittiest game ever made (worse than JMMT) but a few years down the road, Rainbow Studios came out with ATV Off Road Fury. Honda, Yamaha, and tons of ATV based companies donated graphics, time, and money into the game and it was an incredibly good game. That next year, 4 other ATV games came out including ATV Off Road Fury 2. My point is that if a genre sells well, they'll make more games like it. I think its awesome for skiing and all those kids that used to sign petitions and send them to EA for a game, your efforts have paid off. Not that I think your petitions were the main reason they decided to put skiing in the game but I'm sure it helped. Good Work

amped 2 is pretty fucking unrealistic too. giant retarded rails everywhere you look. overshooting landings by 500 feet and shit. fuck amped. the replay feature fucking sucks as well.

Who cares if its unrealistic? What about Tony Hawk? A video game wouldnt be fun if it were all incredibly real. Because then itd be the same old stuff over and over. Yeah it'll suck if you can triple flip to late 1260 to rail. But who cares, its something to do when your not out on your skis.

Amped 3 is in the works, it's scheduled for release I think early next year. it'll be one of the first games to be released on the XBOX 360. Plenty of articles on it on the web, just google "Amped 3".

well, i haven't played the game yet, so I'm not going to say it will ruin the image, but when the ssx games where selling millions of copies, snowboarding already had a public image, so the game didn't have much of an effect, but freestyle skiing has no public image, so it is much easier to ruin one that is in its infancy then it is to tarnish one that already has a large public image

ever since i first saw the first couple of pics i wanted to cream myself... and i will tell you what, the company sponsorships will skyrocket sales. Amped is 10 times as accessible as amped, seeing as amped has a much less intuitive control scheme. Tony Hawk is the perfect example of what will help a sport... And I am so confident that an arcadey game is what the sport need. We need an ice breaker, and wet cat 900's are the perfect way to do so.

remember, half of america is retarded, and if we want to spread the sport we need to win them over with EA Big steeze before we get to have our fun with ultrarealistic parks...

i beg of you all: buy the game regardless, it DEFINITELY wont be another jmmt, and it will push everyone to make more skiing games.

SSX sold more copies because it was on all consoles, whereas amped is only on xbox.

We want skiing to be exactly like it is on Newschoolers. We DONT want people to see some game of people taking their skis of and spinning them around, because then people go; wow snowboarding is so much cooler than skiing.

its a definate step backwards- I'll be BUYING amped 3, and I'll be LOADING SSX3 onto my modded xbox...

That whole "ninthward game" not coming out pisses me off. I was so ready to see a real ski game. Shit! I was ready to see a real ski game 4 years ago. I really think this is what this sport really needs now to promote the sport to a wider audience. mad trix was the worst game ever, ssx is like some arcade game on crack that could only hurt the name of our sport which is so "style" orientated now ans ssx simply lacks the whole style concept, and amped doesn't have skiing! I was hopeful that this ninthward game would be along the same lines of amped (which if simply translated into ski tricks, grabs, and rails, would probably sell more than ssx could dream of). If someone would just realize the size of this market, like NS skiing has been growing like a motherfucker over the last 4 years and not only that but (maybe this is a little premature) its becoming cooler to ski than to snowboard now, and this means the ski market is going to surpass the snowboard market in years to come (I truly believe this). how crazy is that? skiings in the olympics now, the huge coverage skiing gets through the x games, and the growth of the entire "alt sports" world translates into the market broadening even more to sell to many people who have never even been on skis before. The time has come for skiing to get what it deserves... a sick video game. word.
