Hello Everyone,

As an officer of the NS Bank, it's my sad duty to inform you all of a sudden market crash in the SSE. It seems there was a buying frenzy with loads of external venture capital that caused stock prices to skyrocket across the board. Unfortunately this explosion was unsustainable, and as of this morning the bottom fell out, the skiing stock bubble has burst.

Luckily most escaped with at least part of their savings, and the market is beginning to bounce back. Hopefully the VCs have learned their lesson. ;)

I had over 20 g's in saving and none of it carried over. Any explanation why some kept it and others lost it all?
 
i had over 50 grand!!! and now im worthless! this is the worst thing that has ever happened to my NS account and i think that this is a conspiracy

i was one of the top ten richest members!!!!

AND NOW I HAVE NOTHING!!!!!
 
when the stock market crashes you don't lose all your stocks and start over again with 5g's... I should still hold all the stocks I originally held but at a much less value.. What the fuck?
 
Fucking redic, so many people are going to bitch. Whatever, I got in early. Btw, did you fix the graphs? Those would be cool... and also a calculator to show you how much of a said stock you can afford with the current price and your available cash in that little pop up window?
 
Well a heap of people were on the back foot from day one..only being able to buy stocks at overinflated prices, so at least it should be fairly consistent from now on..

Does this mean new stocks will be issues and dividends will start being paid?
 
Mine got hundredth'ed. I had 2 shares of Matt Walker which were somehow worth 52 G's a piece.
 
Haha the prices sure went mad. I lost about 140k of property (including a few bloated stocks) in the restart, but i understand it had to be done... hope it will be all good from now on... I just hope more new riders are gonna get listed so there will be chances for making money for also the poor members.
 
i seemed to have all the lucky ones and i just had to start with nothing at all, i don't think it's fair, i never cheated- i wouldn't know how to...
 
i think it should show portfolio value fer the top people instead of "Richest Member" because we're trying to get the richest portfolio invested not keeping your money...and i bet the top guy didnt lose anything in the crash
 
Yeah it sucks.. didn't cheap was just hustling, and had to start over. Yet some people got to keep, whatever.
 
i lost everyting and got 5000 cash. its bullshit I only had stocks that weren't inflated and should have been due for divedends from comps.. such as burke. although admittedly.. I possibly had held some of the inflated stocks and made a nice profit from them by noobs buying them haha
 
Yo. Just a quick suggestion.. there should really be just a Bid/Ask column like in a real market... Just listing the Sell orders really says nothing on the equity, cause you only looking at the supply and not the demand. Then you can properly value stocks, instead of just arbitrary sellers doing what they want

Ex.

If there is a stock in which only a few active traders own, then can own 10, and just sell 1 at a 50% increase, and all of a sudden their portfolio "value" doubles.

Anyways, just my two cents, maybe the sse allready has this and i juss dont see it
 
I find it amazing how similar this program is the real stock market as that crashed recently as well.

Give people a frontpage warning two days out, make a sticky so that people know that the reset will happen on X day at X hours. Shits too whack right now, the 'crash' didnt really set everything equal again after the initial issues. Also, possibly extend the contest another week?

Hah yeah fuck it reset! Oh well, we gave a great try at making it work, but just biffed this one. Sorry guys, we'll get 'er sorted out!

 
yes! it seems like there were unequal goingons in the crash. I was up over 100k aswell and got left with 5, whereas some other people had 10 or so. but yeah reset with advance warning sounds like the ticket
 
But you have to warn for before hand about the reset, cause I got my eyes on 2 guys and I wanna pounce on them before anyone.
 
peopl will always complain about they want a reset because they did bad, if you reset it again, teh sme thing will hpapen and people will want a reset again. I say just leave it and let it work itself out. Some people just arent good with the stocks so resetting it wont help those people.
 
hahaha. he does have a point though. it's kind of messed right now though, with all that happened at the beginning. I'd say reset it now but not another time?
