I'm comming out... leaving tommrow night (if I find a car tommrow i will buy it then leave) what the better MT? Where is the best place to get work? And the best place to find a room... Checked out carson City nice and cheap but sounds far away

I don't know about working and stuff, but squaw is by far the better mountain. Everything is lift acessed, if you want the goods at alpine, you gotta' hike. Squaw also has a better park.

I would say Squaw is a better mountain, but I think Alpine doesn't get the same volume of people. I would post this on the regional forums and you might get some info on a place to live/work.

squaw, McConkey, JT holmes, SHawn Sullivan and all the other pros are there for a reason

does that mean you don't want a fish sandwich

Cool cool... pros and cons... Squaw has lifts to everywhere... so it all gets skiied off? Is there a shit load of people there? And how are the bumps at each place? Alpine had a sick pipe last year but I have never been to Squaw

squaw has a better park and more terrain..alpine still has nice park, and they lowered prices n shiet this year for season passes and tickets..plus=less crowded cuz they r gonna limit the numbr of ppl allowed on the mountain per day.

squaw has high ticket prices and gets fatty crowded

but if you are there for park..go to squaw.

I've only been to each resort once but squaw was more fun. I've heard that it does get skiied off quick, epspecially kt22 where you get people forming a line before sunrise. any locals confirm that? I'm sure you could still find plenty of fresh if you look around though.

You could probably rent out a house nice since its mostly the off season after christmas and during that time you could get a Job at like albertsons or restaurants like the river grill which my dad owns and I would have to say if u got the money go to squaw definitally if you are an all around. If you are pow and park and dont have the money to spend go to alpine

WORD

true squaw is more expensive, but the hill is much better. no diss to alpine though, cuz theres some sweet stuff there 2.

i like juice

Hey HVskier, the stories are true, people get in line for the KT lift starting around 6:30am, and the mountain does get tracked pretty fast, but the terrain at squaw is unquantified by any resort in tahoe, mabe in the US.

Have you ever been to squaw?? personally i don't like crowds that much....which is why i hated it there. If i was you, go to Alpine.......it has simular terrain, snow...... I got a pass to Alpine this year mainly for the reason since the last day i skied last year was on May 25th...and alpine was the only mountain still open
