Anybody else on here play squash? the game?

guarantee first post is a picture of the fruit.

such an awesome sport, semi-steep learning curve i guess, but once you get good its bomb! Been playing for like a year and a half now.

My biggest pet peeve are glass walled courts, they deaden the bounce so harshly

squash is a vegetable, but squash is sooo much fun. Wear goggles though my uncle lost his eye playing now hes like a pirate.

false.

it is a fruit.

The leaf and stalks of plants are the vegatables (spinach, lettuce, celery)

The stuff that is bore from the plant that grows off of it (containing seeds) is the fruit.

Squash looks like the dumbest sport until you actually play it once.

Then you realize it really is most boring/uninteresting sport ever.

little known fact, Squash used to be called "Squash Racquets"

but yes, racquetball is 50 times more fun. when your sport is named after a fruit it definitely does not help attract new players.

I enjoy squash. I have played a lot more racquetball than squash, but actually prefer squash. It is more refined. Definitely harder to learn to play decent squash than decent racquetball. I also enjoy tennis. Racquetball and tennis are not complementary pursuits, as their strokes are so different. Taking a break from racquetball for a while I think.

Trivia fact: Putting that you play Squash on your application to Cornell gains you one point.

Ya it definitely helps u for college. Ive been playing for 3 years now and play about 4 times a week. One thing that sucks is that the season is in the winter. So half my weekends r taken up with squash matches while my friends r shredding the hills.
