Spyder Jackets

So does anyone know much about them. I picked one out at a local sports store but then i looked it up online and its an 'outdoors' jacket not a ski specific jacket. Can someone recommend a spyder ski jacket to me? (dont want a gangsta or puffy one)

just got back from a Spyder clinic at my work and the nicest part of the company is the LIFETIME warrenty. He told a story of a dude who had a spyder coat from the 80's and the color had fadded, so he called it in and got him a new coat. The damn jacket was 15+years old. That makes spending a shitload more money a little easier to stomach.

spyder is the gayest logo/brand ever I think. most warrantys dont cover color fading though, I would be surprised if they would really cover that.

^wow that is a really dumb thing to say. Spyder makes some of the highest quality stuff on the market. You probably just have a bad image because racers wear mostly spyder gear, including speed suits. but there is a reason they wear it, because it good! Although some of the jackets dont look that stylish, kida like ski patrol.

Ya mainly because of the image they have is why I dont like them, ski racing along with some ugly jackets..I dunno I am just over them i guess.

Hands down Spyder makes some the of the best stuff...I just got a new pair of pants....I wonder if they will replace them when they get destroyed? Probably not...but Marmot, Spyder, and Patagonia make the best shit...all these new school brands may make cool looking stuff but they can't touch the quality of the serious skiing/mountaineering gear

A member on here, triple_strum, tight jacket for 140. He definetly hooks it up, i've gotten skis from him as well.
