Spy gogs: yay or nay??

what's the general consensus? i know here in colorado they're kind of hard to find, but if you found them in a local shop would you buy them over a pair of oakleys?

i am going to save everyone a bunch of time, money and headaches, spy sucks, oakley although pricey is by far worth it. i've heard even smith isn't that bad, but take it from me i've owned 3 pairs of a-frames, and they rule!

i'm not canadian, duhuhuhuh i'm just a little slow.

Dont get gloves though, gloves are out. just use a cigarette to keep your hands warm.

The fact that you've HAD to own three pairs of A-Frames says something... plus, they're 135$ Cdn where I am. Spys are the best inexpensive goggle there is. Scoops have the best peripheral vision of any goggle, for switch riding. I don't want Oakley goggles, if you gave me a pair I'd sell them. But I have triads, so...

nay! i hear dragons are good goggles...well looky hear I actually have a pair to sell!

There dark grey(nil) with amber lenses(orange) and they come with a free replacment strap(black) all for $35 and 5 dollars shipping(never worn either).

 
I have some spy blizzards and I have never had a problem with them

we sold spy in our shop i don't think there was ever one pair that was returned. however, i'd go with scott, hands down the best goggle, never fogs up - never. not to mention it has a patented lens that lets you see better in flat light than any other goggle (this deals with light physics), all the kids in our shop swore by them.

do goggles really even matter, their all gonna fog if you put them up on your forehead for a matter of time or get snow in them, how they look is your opinion and the kind of lenses your gonnna get is the kind that suits what time of they day you ski at. So i suggest you go to the store, and try them on and look into a light.

 
i hate my spies i wish i had me some oakleys i have the targa 2s and the foam on top is so soft i whiped out and shit ripped now they are shit hell and fog up like there is no tomorrow

 
I reccomend Electric EG1s, but that is just me. Cheaper then both Oakley and most Spys, and nicer in my opinion.

if i saw them in a store, i'd definitely try them on and if they fit good i might buy them....however, i already tried on oakleys in a store and bought two pairs of them at the same time (not in the store though off ebay....almost two wisdoms for the price of one)

the reason i started this thread a while ago was to try and decide whether my fiance should carry spy or oakley in his shop. however, the oakley people decided for us by never returning calls or faxing order forms. so problem solved, i guess. anyway, we're going with the orbits (which i have and love), the soldiers, and the blizzards. he's also carrying electric and anon.

Good choice going with Spy's. I had A-Frames and they were stolen (kind of glad they were out of my hands), but whenever it was snowing out the snow would cover up the air-flow holes, blocking the circulation causing them to fog. My Spy Blizzards have been through the same if not worse and i haven't had them fog on me at all. Spy and Scott make sound goggles.

only time my dragon foils were when i hiked okemos QP for half hour....but as soon as u ride just a lil bit the fog goes away

i ALWAYS had a problem with sweating until I bought my first Blizzards.

I now have a pair of Scoops and 2 of Blizzards, all puchased, simply because I COULD with Spy's low prices.

They don't fog on me, are super comfortable, look so steezed out, and....I really honestly do like Spys over Oakleys or any other goggles I've used.
