some guy told me today that spt terrain parks(the giys who do n* park) will make you a box or rail for your backyard, what ever you want, you just have to have the bank...

can anyone else comfirm this?

wow....thats soo many cases of keystone. For the same price I can get wasted for a year and buy passes. plus I already have super park in my back yard that cost free.99

exactly, its not worth it to pay for a rail unless you have the skills and are just paying for materials.

idk, the kid i was talking to said a 30 ft. box would be only like 1000. and its a northstar style box, which are smooth, so, idk it could be worth it...

hahaha, ya your joking right? give me a grand, and a welder, and Ill make you 4 features that are just as sick.

yeah i would love to spend a grand and then sit back and drink a beer and wonder how in the hell am i going to move a 1500 pound awkward box around.

well thats about right "grand for a 30ft box" .. steal prices Have sky rockets since the war and we the builders pay the price. and a 30ft box u can move with 3 guys.. n prob. plus ur forgetting plastic and skirting costs too.. pastic for 1 4x8 sheet is like 140. then depending on wood, plastis or metal skirting.. can cost ya too.. so u break it all down after materials the builder isn't makin much.... so unless u build them for a livin and see the ACTUAL cost and labor that go into a quality box/rail you real shouldn't talk.

well my dad ran a welding and machine shop which I worked in since I was 14. and I have built my own stuff. including; a 40 S rail, 2 C rails, rainbow box, rainbow flat bar, and flat rails. You DONT need plastic, metal, or wood skirting unless your selling to a resort, and yes there def is labor but....whatever its not worth arguing . charge however much you want

i know that boxes are heavy as shit, my friends and i had to move like a 15 footer at diamond peak from where it sits halfway up the mountain to the base for a rail jam, and even with 4 people it was a bitch...

yeah im sure its cost effective to buy a backyard box. its not like you could buy 3 season passes for that price and get all the boxes you could ever want... but i guess if you dont have to support yourself then have your mommy's buy you one.

not arguing.. just lettin ppl know that its not cheap to build boxes and rails... most ppl think its easy and cheap...its not. I don't build or sell to the public.. and as far as not needing wood/plastic or metal skirting.. you dont'' but if ur spening the $ to build one why make it look like shit without it for a lil$ more..? and u do NEED Pastic on the top..$$ for top sheet plastic. And I agree.. just go buy some season pass's.. cheaper andlots more options.. but yeah some kids have mommy and daddy to drop the $$ to have thier own shit... and they will $$ the price... just like a resort would to have stuff built.

If anyone in the tahoe area is actually interested in purchasing a rail or box, you should contact me via PM or e-mail. and we can discuss some prices and options.

go down to your local college, find the welding/metal shop department, make some friends, and voila. access to metal, welding materials, and people that can help you easily.

yeah, if you are in the tahoe area, i build all my rails and boxes with thick walled 2" coping and 1/2" plastic. rails can be any shape slide surface, square, rectangle, or round(single, double,or triple barrel. Prices vary depending on surface, length and width. i.e. shorter boxes and rails are much easier to transport, and can be linked together.
