anyone ever been? just wondering, it is only 30 minutes from my school and it would be nice to mix it up from blue every now and then

Spring Mountain really isn't much. It is great if you are jonesing for some snow on a Wed or Thurs night. Not a terribly long drive, and with college night on Thursday its like $25 for a evening session to get a couple of hours on some snow.

If you are looking for a full day, just head over to Bear Creek.

Spring Mountain is decent for teaching new skiers, its where I went to get back on the snow after 6 years.

Also the food (when it is open) is cheap and good. It'll remind you of good school lunches. Probably the best sloppy joe I've had in years.

thanks for the input. i will most likely spend my weekend days at bear or blue, but spring seems perfect for a night skiing session. they do have college night and mens night that have like 18 dollar tickets so you cant beat that

any idea how the park usually is?

Haven't been to Spring Mt. since I was in 7th grade. Might be fun to go just for the hell of it.

I don't really ride park, but it seems small to nonexistant from what I've seen. Though when I went there last (Dec '11) they were putting in a few new things. Don't expect much though. I'd put it at something like 2 small box/table tops, 2 rails and maybe a jump that some guys would probably be able to put together in their own back yard.

I wouldn't even waste my time. Spring is even smaller than BC and for being just a bit further south has horribly worse conditions most of the time.

Nothing against em, I mean I learned to ski there and I enjoy their mountain biking during the summer. I wouldn't go there more than once or twice a winter though.

Look into BC promos for college nights, or get into a local ski club and hit up ski club wednesdays, I think it's like 15 bucks for a night ticket or all day I'm not sure.

I'm in upper bucks ski club and its only like 25 bucks to join, ya don't have to attend any meetings and they get dicounted lift tickets to quite a few mountains all over the east coast.

No offense Ski Unit but I'd come down there just for a beer before I'd even ski there. The tiki grill is pretty cool during the summer though, and I might try and get a summer job on the ropes course next year.
