the park setup as we speak is nuts! halfpipe, super quarter pipe 16-20 ft., 70 ft moto gap, 70 ft hip/spine, rails, 4o ft jump, ect....the flow is insane~! you can do full runs .... aw shit! see ya'll there

So does anyone know about, like a vague idea, about what time the rail contest will be over sunday? We're coming from around Cincinnati, and it's a long drive and we don't wanna miss anything but we can't miss work or school on monday... just curious.

The weekend was fun as hell until the mandatory donation I had pay to the michigan speeders asocitation courtesy of the Michigan state patrol on the way home sunday.

 
Sucks about the ticket. The weekend was a great way to end a good season. Some cool stuff happen and for anyone who couldn't make it you missed a great session.

 
yeah it was pretty sick, everybody there had piles of style too. Its cool actually getting out of my area and meeting people from everywhere in the midwest.

Baseball is Fucking Gay, soon we'll be making the millions and they complain theyre not making enough money.

 
We got pulled over on the way home too. Right between Munising and Marquette. I didn't get a ticket though so I was pretty pumped about that.

scott won big air with solid cork 7s, reverse mute I believe... and steve was boosting massive flairs in the pipe.

the features were 40-ft moto booter, very small table, about a 15-20 ft quarterpipe, nice halfpipe, and a 50 ft or so hip that guys were clearing. The rails were... weird olley-on rail, un-doable A-frame and trap rail, down-flat-down, single kink, 20 ft flat and a fun box.

Lots got thrown down... notable stuff is the two chicks from ohio tearing shit up, scotts stylie cork 7s, mike hornbecks flatspins and rodeos, lots of flairs, alley-oop flairs, 5s and 7s in the pipe, giant switch backflip on the table, etc. etc. for rails there was lots of switch ons, switch ups, a few 450s on etc.

I did not DMB the hip.... had to get back at the long flat rail at the bottom for almost nutting me on saturday and did it as slow as I possibly could b4 I left.... I did not see monton or munter flatten the hip. I know that scott, steve, dmb all landed hard on it. It was a great time.

The notorious DMB landed the hardest out of all of us. Give him mad props though he was trying to 5 that sketchy ass thing and just went too big.

i can switch back too but I would never have done it on a jump that size. let me put it this way... I didnt see anyone else even hit the jump switch all weekend.

a trap rail=trapezoid rail=gatekeeper rail=battleship rail=up-flat-down=... i dunno... why does that rail have a thousand different names?

yeah I saw the big DMB style on the hip... looked like a five that turned into a 7.... crazy shit.

I will give mad props to the people that hit that jump switch. I have gone off many a jump switch in may day, and I love going off switch. The jump was a little sketchy(not bad, just a quick transition) for me to want to hit switch. The hip was nice, It was scary too, cause You had a bout a 5 foot distance window in which if you landed before it you landed flat on the top of the hip, or if you went about 5 feet further you would drop another 15 feet or so to flat. Anyone who talks shit and was not there should STFU. After the mexican food I had some serious shits.... Then about 30 peeps in the hotel room... we need to find a place to just hang out next year and get a barrel or something.... Marquette in May???? I am debating.

haha, just to clarify things, I suppose my comment about the size of the jump wasn't implying that it was HUGE, because it wasn't. It was solid 40 ft... I don't know about the rest of you crazy kids out there, but my sorry ass doesn't have the balls to switch back anything bigger than a 25-footer. That said...

great kickass weekend had by all! highlights: kovtun, beautiful in big air, (props to you for lettin us crash at your house! i owe ya bud!) shelby, kick ass as ever, although i didnt see the rail jam, too hung over. nipple(aka john kimball) eatin shit in big air (stalled out back). hammersly, falling asleep at dinner. kovtun, gettin hit by food. stu and monton $8.00 margaritas. brogan and his jellybeans. me and max driving to harbor springs drunk as shit (i dont remember, do u?) nad of course, fatty killin himself on the hip (so did i). cant believe i remeber that much, i was soooo fuckin drunk! hell, im drunk as hell now!

Hey dspin7x, get off my boy brody. He couldn't make it sat and he doesn't have his license so he couldn't drive up on sunday. Oh, and don't make fun of him for saying he talks about all these tricks he can do, but he wouldn't come up.....the kid is 15 and he almost stomped a switch 1080, so bring your ass back to ohio and humor us with your bag of tricks. Your from Ohio, right? Let us know when your bag in the state and we'll roll down with a few from the Ohio Freestyle Team.

On a good note, the board meeting was pretty sick. The rails were 10x's better this year, and there was more of a flow to the course. If you couldn't make it this year, get up next, its' going to be sick. Peace,

 
im not trying to start anything here, but ALMOST landing a switch 1080 doesnt mean shit, you ethier land it or you dont, and even if you land it once it still doesnt mean anything, what matters is that you can do it consistantly

The main kicker wasn't that big. Snowtrails in Ohio had a bigger table than that for their big air. Actually their 3rd hit in the main park might be bigger than that kicker. It was a good jump to learn new tricks on.

justin, i put that third hit in my sponsor video, i hit it once, and for some reason it looks SO big, well, it is a pretty big jump. meh, either way, I liked it.

i can speak for pretty much everyone i went up there with when i say is was all kinds of fun. i have to say the big air hit was my favorite (it's just something about being in the air that long that made it frickin awesome) but the whole place was pretty nice. (the flat rail owns my knee right now though) and it was cool to meet all the other skiers from the midwest

'sponsor videos' will it even work or will they put it in the trash can. sounds like alot of fun up there but thats like a 8 or 9 hour drive from south eastern wisconsin I guess I should have tried to hook up with the guys coming from the madison area and The twin cities. sucks driving that far alone.

 
Actually, I got the idea from American Idol, and at the end I put a big clipart picture of a trash can so they would know where it belongs. Just in case it wasn't already there.
