last year superpark was way sweeter, boyne made a shitty park last yr, hopefully its better this year

Whats the deal with this? The website does not give much information on it. Is it a comp? a jam? Let me know some info on it, I might check it out.

it is a two day event with a rail jam slopestyle and big air or pipe comp. i was like 15 bucks for both days tickets and entrace to all jams. all about being out and having fun. i agree the park sucked last year but i think they are going to have it at the mountain not highlands.

Sounds fun. I'm not that great but if its only 15 I'll show up and session a bit. A bunch of NS should get a shitty hotel and party down all weekend. I'd say we can all bunk at my house but its like a hour and a half from Mountain.

They build 80 foot jumps to bring in the best riders from the midwest. If they were only going to build 30 foot jumps then people would stay at their shitty local mountain because it would not be worth the trip. It's a great event for the midwest to have since it gives publicity to these midwest riders who get overlooked by the larger scenes of out West and the East Coast.

^ agreed. Super Park and Parkasourous don't build 30ft jumps unless they are onto a sick rail. It's all bringing the best together to film and promote.

on the side of the 80ft there was a 40-50ft option and after that there was another 40-50ft jump.

its super park. the jumps are supost to be super. i say make tham all bigger than 80ft

 
a well designed 80 foot jump isn't much different from say........ ok i don't know, but my point is: the jumps at marquette are made really well, with the right speed ALMOST ANYONE OF ANY ABILITY could jump the biggest jumps. this year all of the takeoffs are mellow with a super long transistion. it doesn't feel like you're traveling 30 feet up and 80 feet out. this year you don't have a to carry alot of speed into the big jumps ethier, you can hit them while just cruisin' down the hill whereas last year you had to straight line from the drop in and barley clear it. the big jumps at marquette are alot easier and smoother then jumps half it size, for say... the MSO big air jump at spirit last year. it was like 40ft but yet you had to tuck the entire top half of the hill just to clear it and get like 6 feet off the deck.. lame

and there will always be a variety of terrain at marquette, this year we have a public park with a 6 pack of 10-25ft tables, and a bunch of nice flat rails and smaller single kink rails.

superpark will be rad for sure. that's all i got

i'll probly be at springboard, it's a fun time

Good points

Plus when your making smaller options you have to take the snow away from the take offs to the big jumps. Most people in the Midwest have to ride shitty jumps all year and this is their chance to ride something comparable to something out West.

There are plently of events all over the Midwest with small jumps and Superpark is a well welcomed exception. If you don't feel that you can handle an 80 foot jump then don't be stupid and hurt yourself or whine because the jumps are too big. Work on your game and comeback next year and give it a shot.

Hey guys. i know this is about Boyne Spring Board Meeting (and some about Marquette) but if you aren't doing anything this weekend, and wanna drive to a sick park, goods times, and other such things, then come to Pink Flamingo Camp at Perfect North Slopes. Its $ 100 for both days. that includes lift ticket, breakfast, lunch, all day skiing/riding and being coached ( if you prefer), a good bag from the sponsors, and admission to the Red Bull Gnar B Que which is a contest held on Saturday after camp, and there are three divisions. IT sick.

50 + degrees and sunny all weekend looken good... plus anyone that is staying in a hotel there is a days inn that has a free 24 hour buffet it is def. worth it... only like 60 or 80 a night for 2 beds in petosky.

there is no natural snow left but they should be fine on the hill. some one from the event should post everything so there isn't any confusion. plus the park layout would be nice.

no i wasnt a gapper, i was hitting the little gap. there were a couple snowboarder girls there, i think only one of them ever strapped in and went riding, none of them hit anything. then there were these 3 HUGE bitches that came to watch.
