Jazz goes hard sometimes, it’s a pretty diverse genre.
 
I really like spotify wrapped as a concept but I really really wish they had a top albums list. I listen to music almost exclusively in album form, so my top 5 songs are always 5 songs off whichever album I listened to the most, which makes it kinda boring. Even the top 100 songs is basically just a mashup of 8-10 albums, would love to be able to go deeper than that. Also I think they are pretty bad at categorizing genres, they lump a lot of niche stuff into entirely the wrong category which I definitely can notice on my top genres

I feel you, but I think most people don't listen to albums, at least not from a to z.

I'm not a huge smooth-jazz guy and I think all the non-jazz folks picture smooth jazz and smooth jazz only when I say I listen to jazz but bebop is where it's at

Nah man my 5th most listened to genre was Japanese jazz Ik my shit. But bebop is surprisingly different from other jazz, it’s like whiplash-type music

I'm gonna have to check out Japanese Jazz. The only album I know that might fall under that category is Scenery by Ryo Fukui which is rad
