There are tons of insanely talented skiers out there now. some of the athletes we have on our regional teams now a days would have been our top dogs 5-10 years ago. So while it may be harder to get noticed and stand out from the pack today, you have to stick with the theme in this thread and just go out and do it and have passion and keep on charging. Do you think Sage thought he would be getting well paid to heli ski and film all winter when he first moved out to Alta as a dishwasher? No, but he knew that skiing was his life and that he had to do whatever it took to shred everyday. Just like anything, you have to realize your dream and then go get it.
A bit of advice on sending companies a sponsor me video: it is great to include all the banger footage and contest results etc, but one thing that aspiring skies often overlook is the interview footage. You know, give us some insight as to what your personality is like. Companies need to hear you speak and see what you look like so they can be reassured that you will properly represent the brand. You can be the baddest man on two skis, but if you act like a douchbag or asswipe on the hill, then you are doing your sponsors no good.
Keep your dreams alive, realize that getting spansoredized is not just about being the best skier and as long as you ski because it is the funnest thing ever, you will win.
