you can maby get small time sponcerships from shops or companies, just like a couple free pairs of skis or discounts on gear, then you do bigger comps then full sponserships then you get paid if you really have what it takes.
it all depends on the size of the shop. Ask the shop owner/manager what you would need to do to get sponsored, and they'll usually give you an idea of how goo you need to be.
wait until april then start to send out to some people. Try to find out who are the reps for companys in your area and send to them. You need a good video just over a minute long is ussually the standard and a resume with your best comp results. Don't include anything that isnt a podium result unless it's at a big comp like YGO or somthing
you just hafta ask. I know that Sturtevants Sports chain (it's kinda in your area) is always looking for new riders to sponsor. I landed a sponsorship with them a few years ago after working part time at their Puyallup store for a summer and showing the manager my video and resume. It REALLY helps to know the person in charge of sponsorship deals because often times they will sponsor a rider who they know over a rider with more skill. It's unfair, but it's the way it works.
