I'm 18 and I STILL jack off to victoria's secret magazines...
Just enter local comps and build a 'grass-roots' foundation by getting to know the local people who have influence. Start little with ski shops and maybe a small resort. It's common sense - the more people you know, the more connections you have. Then when you win competitions where sponsors are at, you will be able to just go up and talk to them because you've gotten to know them.
Don't ski to get sponsored though, because I can almost guarantee you that won't work. Ski because you love it, don't brag and flaunt about tricks, because if you are being sponsored, there are other kids just as good and better than you riding for the same company.
