Does anyone know what it takes to get Rossignol as a sponsor? I've heard that it's easy and I've heard it's nearly impossible. If anyone has a contact with Rossignol could you send me a message? Thx.

how old are you and how long have you been skiing?

what would you say your strenghts and weaknesses are as a skiier and as a person?

what differentiates you from other skiiers both on and off the hill?

what are your favorite aspects of skiing?

and most importantly.. what can you do for us as a company?

answer those and ill tell you how easily it will be for you to get hooked up. also do you have a tape of yourself skiing as well as competition results. all of these things together are your resume or portfolio to sell yourself to companies. keep in mind they arnt looking for a mindless trick machine, because they could probably program a robot to spin off a jump, although sweet tricks help. your own 'style' both on and off the mountain is key...

do u really need fuckin comps to get sponsored? I'm good but where I live their are no fuckin comps. and i dont want to fly to a comp cause i might suck and it will be a total waste of money and time. is it really necesary to do comps to get sponsored?

ALl you guys don't know shit. Look at everyone who is a pro...they either did contests and did really well or knew some pro's and they gave their companies the good word on who is the next big thing. Video's or yourself...o.k. but corporations get like five or six a day and get seriously sick of the same old shit. Their best in on finding out who is who is throught their own athletes. My advice, ski and ski your heart out...if you are good enough to get wows from everyone then go somewhere where you will get noticed. Get it...Got it...Good.

 
It is easy if you deserve to be sponsored, if you arnt good egnough then it is tough. If you are worthy, and deserve a sponsorship, eventually they will come 2 u.

Other wise, invest in some knee pads, they will get you a long way in the ski industry

if you have a good promo vid then your set. but you cant just mail it in, you have to talk to the people your giveing it too since they will want to ask u questions and if your lucky you can watch it with them and take them trough it step by step. competition results impress and giving good head comes with practis

if you live in a place where you cant comepte, getting sponsored isnt easy at all no matter how good you are..

as for getting sponsored by rossignol, it must be really easy since tehy sponsor that austin ross kid..

there are no comps where i live and the snow sucks.... just put together a video tho and send it some place that will sponsor you.. even like a little ski shop to get started

Alright- you need to move someplace where alot of the pro riders live...Whistler, Jackson, Mammoth, you get my drift. Ride like you've never ridden before, take risks, and improve. Don't talk yourself up. Enter some comps, and try your best. Above all, have fun. If you're skiing to be sponsored, you're skiing for the wrong reasons.

there is a wrong and right reason to ski? i think you should let everyone ski for there own reasons not try to tell them there wrong when they ski for a diffrent reason then you.......

when i was younger i used to be all caught up in getting sponsored and stuff. now that im not i find they come around more. you cant look for them.. they will find you. although if your isolated it will take longer. remember companies dont sponsor you for how good you are they do it for how well you advertise. so competing definatly helps. but it also helps if you have alot of people look up to you.
