k my freind wants to get sponsored but doesnt know what to do so he has a couple questions. what kind of footy should he put in the edit?(like tech stuff or really slow syled stuff) should he edit it or just leave it raw?(like no music or w/e) and who should he send it too?(like what would be his best bet to getting hooked up with)

and this freind is not me hes just retarted and doesn't know how to make a quality thread.

any help would be appreciated

i had a mixture of tech and style, and had "dream on" matched perfectly with the video. i had good quality picture, and i was also preforming my famous "brownie grab" haha. and thats really it! tell your friend if he does a really good job on the video, he will have a better chance. good luck!

i think the main thing besides solid tricks is a good camera. if the quality sucks nobodys gona want to watch it when they have a lot to watch. just make it have good flow too

10 truck that sick. YEa if you put together a good edit i would send it first to like smith optics becaues they might be good. Or go to your local shop and talk to the person who deals with reps because thats the way that im sponserd and im just turned 16 and i suck and im sponserd by some stuff. But only because of a shop rep guy

yep, just put together a decent quality edit, have a mix of everything, but dont make it too long 2-3 minutes is good, also send in some good comp. results too, start with your shop and see if they can talk to their reps for you

me and my friend were gonna make one, but i got hella injured and cant ski till next year. we were gonna have a mixture of rails (all kinds, down flat down, flat, c rail etc) and tables+pipe, and mix everything up with rightside and leftside spins and corks and maybe some froglike backflips lol

i say he has a pretty good chance. if i were him i would send the tap to some new ski companies, like High Society for example, they are fairly new so they need all the publicity they can get.

there are a lot of good things you can put in: like the best things he can do real techy, and then there is the average stuff he can stomp easy which will get the style, and then you shold put a little few bits of just fooling around just having fun and stuff you know?

as far as music just put something you like and fits your style of skiing, make sure it fits editing. yes it will need to be edited because if you want a company to know you are good you should look somewhat professional and not just a bunch of clips slapped together, but dont make it a big production just a few little transitions and stuff like that

hope i helped your friend out

i guess LINE is pretty cool with it

they say you got to be one of the best at your home mountain and make a vid and make a cd and mail it in to them

Throw down your best tricks on many different features, it gets boring to watch one kid slay the same thing over and over again. Also, if you really want to get sponsered, make sure you get enough good shots, don't just start throwing in those few shots that were sketchy, go out and get better ones. Make sure you have a semi nice camera, and a very important part is flow. Don't make the video too long and make sure the music and camera angles all flow nicely, basically, don't make it boring. Switch up the tricks and camera angles and features and your good to go

i think if the video is not going to be well edited and really fun to watch, you should just put a bunch of raw footy of all of your sickest clips

ya but companies liek that don't have regional reps soo they can't hand free product out to any random guy he has to rip to an am/pro level

Make a edit showing a wide variety of your skiing and a profile of yourself, meaning your comps how old you are y u think u should be sponsored, all that good stuff...

after that, call up some shops and get the reps of some companies names, numbers, and e-mails (mainly his number and name) once you have everything together call the rep up. tell him who you are and what you are trying to do.

The Rep will most likly tell you to send a viddy and a profile of yourself to his email and to someone else. If the Rep is a Dick and doesnt talk back move on to another company. Dont put yourself down.

Just keep talking to the rep and send viddy. Its better to not get a whole season's edit together and send at one time. make little edits and keep sending them. get pictures to. The reason for all the little edits is to keep him impressed. Sending one big vid will get him impressed once not multiple times. Get my drift?

Thats basically all you can do. But remember make sure u are good enough before trying to get sponsored.

Hope that helps.
