You are speaking full truth on that. I don't see either why people are creating production companies (possibly out of fun) and trying to distribute skiing videos that are 15 minutes long and include like two parks and maybe one shitty urban. Originality is a big problem on this site which is very much evident in the songs people use in their lil' videos. Check them out because I bet you 1 out of 20 have an original song in them, the rest have recent songs used in this/past year ski movies.

the i hate ny movie looks the same as all the other movies. there is no originality. its all the same. true, msp, poorboyz, tgr, level1, all those companies have been making the same movie over and over and they're boring. but bogart isn't going to be any different then any other movie. same type of soundtrack, same cut and paste editting, same feel, same tricks...

its because all you kids are sheep and have been marketed to be a certain way, because of guys like tanner hall and these attitude ridden skiers. look at how all of you kids reacted when jon olsson got on some different clothes. majority of you call him a homo fag. i think its great that he's doing something different then everybody else. he doesn't look exactly like everone else. its great that you're making a movie. i'm not against home made movies. just dont make the same movie that everyone else is making with the same shitty material and think its great, because its not, its just another pathetic movie. number one the movie is shot with a vx2100 not a super 8....number 2 its editing isnt just regular ski movie. cant really tell you what it is because we "cant let the cat outta the bag". number 3, i can assure you some of the rail tricks are better than what pros are doing in big movies. i know your just an alias trying to piss us off. your prolly some guy from a big movie thats pissed cause people are buying less from you or something and they like the small companies better

Seriously though, making small/no budget films is awesome. they usually only appeal towards a smaller area and a certain crowd and are fun to make and provide experience for both the riders and the filmakers alike. They're not out to get rich, just a little respect and maybe a little money to pay for beer and maybe a new camera. Plus they just get to the issue at hand - urban and park for example - and the majority of creativity is shown (hopefully) in the riding and choice of clips and not in the film editing.

i know that TGR guys are too busy filming commercials for nissan and making a shit load of money selling their footage to the national geographic adventure channel - i highly doubt shradical is todd jones or kris ostness...

no i'm just a guy whos pissed because majority of skiers are so lame and i want to try and promote creativity. and number one, that sucks its not in super 8 because that has a really good artistic feel to it. you're using digital!! everyone has a digital camera. the guys from teddybear crisis said their not going to have any digital shots in their movie because their pathetic. two, just because some kid does a switch up on a street rail doesn't mean you can stand up to the pros. those guys aren't anywhere near the level they think they are. and three, stop being one of those attitude ridden gangsta kids. what the fuck is with "you're gonna get killed." i'm not taking it literally, of course, but shut the fuck up with the attitude. and your cat in the bag, i guarantee that its not going to be any different or special. but goodluck to you.

 
I just watched the bogart trailer. your right you are doing things on rails that the pros aren't... like falling. I especially like the guy who eats shit cause he forgot he was using skis not rollerblades.

i agree - i really don't like TGR films much either, however, you 110% cannot say sage's part in last year's TGR movie was gay...10% my ass - i would bet the house that you would not even get out of the helicopter on 90% of the shit they ski - flat out guarantee it and i say that with 100% confidence.

maybe the TGR film is not urban but fuck if it isn't "newschool" -- as much as that word is fucking lame!! sage & marc andre...taking your little mitsy newschool tricks to big mountain where if you fuck up you will most likely die or get fucking broke off.

they arent progressive in newschool...only big mountain. i never said it wasnt dope when sage did something like that off a cliff. but when i see someone just skiing down a big mountain its dumb too watch. its awesome in person and very difficult but i think it looks terrible in a movie. it looks good when you see sage drop a cliff with a trick, but how much of the movie is that? and of course i wouldnt do some of the stuff they do...i live ON THE EAST COAST! give me some time in the bc out there and i would be doin some of it but obviously they didnt learn that overnight. it took then years upon years of riding in the bc

who says she cant ski? i bet she can rip up the bc too. just because people ride park doesnt mean they cant ski. my mountain didnt have a park up until 3 years ago. i just skied down grooms and moguls and glades for 5 years without a park. dont tell me i dont know how to ski or that east coasters dont. whenever we have fresh snow im in the woods

ash is from chicago of course she can't ski on a real mountain and then she moves to utah so her dad can live his dream through his kids and she only rides the park at PC. she is creative though cause the rasta thing aint played out yet

whats so original and creative about pros movies? nothing. they are the same as others. only creative movie ive seen was wicked...straight outta the east coast. and dont ruin kids fun with movies. its lame sometimes to see kids that arent very good making a teaser and posting it like they are some big company but they are just having fun. other times these peopl eend up being really good. the ata, pcrew, other crews are good and thats how they get known. where would movies today be without new talent? still watching mike douglas do a d spin 7 or 360 mute?
