ok heres the scoop...im wondering how old you gotta be to get a sponsership anywhere!!

Also my dad is sponsered by Fischer skis and im just warning you, i dont think you have to be all that good cuz my dad aint that good of a skier (mind you hes got his level 1, 2, and goign for his 3) but FUCK hes got a sponsership and i dont! i could care less if its from a company that doesnt have the best twin tips or shit ... its free skis, boots, and bindings!!!

I'm sorry, but if it was easy, nobody would be buying skis for retail price. That'd be my 2 cents. Which is about 0.5 american, but o well. It's all good.

 
whats funny is how easy it is to get 'hooked up' in this sport. if you know people, you should not be paying retail price for anything. I work at a shop, and can get skis at pro deal, (usally 60-75% off) but do i buy skis, nope, cause if you know reps well, they will just give shit to you. i own 4 pairs of skis right now and have not given a dime to any ski company. I get goggles all the time to, cause the smith rep treats me well. but do i go around braggin that i get hooked up, no, cause its really not that hard. if i can do it, a shitty ass skier who is just out there to have fun, then you can too.

 
your dad is prolly a goofy skier that perfects wedges and skid turns with his arms out like a bird. if u wanna get a goofy pro-form take goofy PSIA (pro ski instructors of america) clinics.

or you can just ask pros if they would sell you some brand new skis. I told Rex Thomas that i ordered my Skogens and he offered to sell me some brand new Atomics for really cheap. I forget how cheap but it was a good deal.

At that point it was too late though. I am pissed at myself

Get a job at a shop, meet reps and pros, and you'll get stuff for a lot cheaper. That's what I did. No one who respects themselves should pay retail at a ski shop. Oh and getting sponsored is all about talent. Lots of that will get you a long way.
