does anyone ride for fun anymore? 300 dollars can buy skis kids. thats 1 paycheck.

stop trying to get sponsered, i dont think doing every pretzel possible on a 15 foot box is appealing to anyone.

i agree congrats on 17000. I love skiing just for fun but if i could get sponsored i would give a try. Im just not good enough.

Yeah. kids should stop trying to get sponsored without at least 4 different 270s on and 2 450s.

however free skis are sweet becasue I take more chances on them and don't baby them for the first few days. PS. i'm not sponsored.

i've got multiple claims. there's the pole cyclone, the nixon, the captain falcon, nut grabs, the im number one claim, pole passes, and the blindfold. that's all i can think of right now, but feel free to ask what each one is.

Its a sport.. the point is to try and be the best..

and when your living on your own, working hard to ski and maybe getting free gear out of all your hard work from the past season, getting sponsored is pretty key.

you just hold the index finger high and show everyone who's boss. to be execute properly one must start the claim on the inrun and hold it through their entire run.

i'd say more than half the promos are on newschoolers are FOR newschoolers just so people can get feedback on there riding...and don't think it's necessarily for sponsorship....i know i love getting feedback on my videos that's why i always post them on newschoolers

doing it for fun is what i am all about shit fuck sponsers hahaha mainly cuase i cant get one....but i just like going with the crew fucking with everyone on the mountain who hates the new shit

I want to get sponceroziedowres because i want free skis, and i think it would be cool to be part of the team. It just looks like fun to be able to use skis to their fullest and then get a new pair once they break, and brand new clothes every year and next years stuff all for free...i want to get fucking sponsored. Plus if im skiing as a job i'll never work a day in my life.

yea that is gettin pretty bad know with the spellin of spansered.

but if kids have fun doing 25 switchups on switch 12s all day then go right the fuck ahead.

whatever happened to doin what u want?? and not lettin other people tell u what u want???

if someone has a fun time gettin sponsered then let them its no fucking deal.

everyone jumped on this SKI FOR FUN bandwangon....when i think that everyone is havin fun weather they are skiin 6 feet pow with bents and no poles or bein 14 and filmin for a part in a amateur ski movie that they hope could get them sponsered.

fuck.

geez I tried to make a word with pancake and tazer in it and I only found a word that already existed.. damn.

I suck at life.

what? why would you have to be able to do those rail tricks to be sponsored? What if i can boost 50 foot cliffs and do all 4 sevens? youve got it twisted bro... rails dont are a small portion of being sponsored.

kids should not try to be sponserised if they cant help the company sell more products.

Being a good rider dosnt mean your can help sales.

"i dont think doing every pretzel possible on a 15 foot box is appealing to anyone."

on the contrary, that's all anyone cares about. that and you have to be under the age of 20...and have at least 5 yankee new era hats...and three pairs of nike dunks.

I'll claim that that is a great claim. Good marketible skiers will get hooked up more than someone who is just as talented without the marketing.

I'll bring up one of my boyz here. THink Coity Bolduc with orange vs. coity with a plain outerwear setup. If i was a Tm, i'd take the orange becasue it sticks out and people remember it.

That's what I love about skiing though...I know I will NEVER even compare with the best out there. For me, its all about improving myself and within my crew. I think I would enjoy skiing less if I was out there to take down every skier better than me...its all about fun, and you can push yourself as little or as much as you want, depending on your mood, weather, etc.

dont worry kid, i agree with you, i ride solely for fun. but if sponsorship happens along the way, hey...why not.

well making an edit is fun so why not try and get hooked up for it and who knows where it could lead

ya i went through the phase of wanting to be sponsored really bad but then i thought about it really hard for a day and was thinking of all the times that i tried tricks that i was hurting myself doing just to try and get to be someone's bitch and im like i wasn't even having fun trying new stuff and getting hurt so ya...like i know your going to get hurt by pushing yourslef, im fine w/ that, but hurting yourslef to impress someone else isn't worth it....so all in all i ski for myself, and im totally fine w/ kids that want to go for it, if that's what they want to do just go for it and more props to them!!

don't forget you gotta be under 5'8", (even 5'8" is pushin it), and you gotta wear tall tees down past your knees, but only in bright colours cause you dont want people thinkin you're too hard.

Seriously, think about what you are saying. Your saying that if you had a chance to not have to drop some money for something, you would rather buy it? Why wouldn't you want to get sponsored? Like your logic is backwards man, i you have the chance/oppurtunity to get something free, why wouldn't you? who in their right mind would pay for something if they could get it for free?

nah ya missed the point. What he's saying is, kids gotta stop spending all their time LOOKING for sponsors cause they can 270 pretzel and cork 7. It just seems like so many kids nowadays are focusing solely on getting sponsored, doing stock tricks to prove their worthy, instead of thinking for themselves and doing tricks based on what they like and what inspires them.

c'mon honestly what little kid has not dreamed of being a pro at some sport. kids are just trying to live their dreams. trying to get sponsored can be fun for kids. its not like that is the soul reason they ski

you have the best claim of all time though with the claim that "wallisch is driving me to reno" your basically god now. haha

being sponsored allows you to have the same amount of fun but without having to pay for shit like skis and outerwear and boots and bindings and goggs and random shit like that, so it's kinda convenient. If you are sponsored by a resort you don't even have to pay to ski unless you drive to the resort.
