hey ma gs,

i'm searching a new binding for my dollos (98mm) and wanted to hear some opinions/recommendations. I'm only experienced with marker and think about getting something new. Only park. Din between 6-14. whats your opinion on the looks pivot? better then marker jester/duke for park? or any completely different suggestions? peace stay safe :) chapo

Pivots are definitely better, not saying the other ones are bad.

Going out on a limb and saying the Armada STH2 would be fine as well, I've used them for more all mountains stuff and they are my favorite binding aside from pivots

ok thank you so much!! and should i go with the Pivot 18 or 14 GW 115mm?? and on their website there are two pivots GW 14 115, i guess there are only different in color cause one (the black one) is 100 dollar more expansive? peace

how tall are you/how much do you weigh, and what skier level are you (novice, intermediate, advanced?)

Look Pivots are great, tyrolia attack 13s are great, salomon STHs are good, i don't like Markers but plenty of people do

but regardless, the ones you mentioned with brake size 115 are too big. on your dollos you want brake size ~95

you won’t need the pivot 18s if you want a din between 6-14. Get the 14s. And for the brake width you’re going to want anything between 95-105mm, ideally 100mm. The 115 would be too much.

and regarding me mentioning the pivots 115mm: yeah i thought they would be to big too but I find the look website and the measurements listed there a bit confusing... so should i go with the pivots 14 gw B95mm instead? although the dollo is like 98mm? thanks:)

Yeah that’d be perfect. Those are absolutely excellent bindings, the B95mm will fit perfectly, and the prices on them are good right now

Definitely get the 95mm brakes, 115s would overhang and hook on the snow and other skis brakes. With pivot brakes you can usually go +10mm without having to bend them

ok i see. i apologize in advance for the question but i never set up my skis by "myself": my dollos are 98mm, so i thought the 95mm would be to small? and +10mm would mean 108 would be perfect? haha dont get it sorry i know i'm completely misunderstanding the concept of brake width/sizes... cut me some slack

appreciate the time and reply! just one question (asking u the same as Paul) and i apologize in advance too: my dollos are 98mm, so therefore i supposed the 95mm would be to small? i thought the brake width must be bigger then the ski itself? i don't get it lol... i'm sorry i know i'm completely misunderstanding the concept of brake width/sizes haha... cut me some slack

Sorry, by +10mm I mean you could fit a ski 10mm larger than the brakes. For example I have the 95mm brakes on my jeffrey 108s and I only had to bend them slightly to make them fit. 95mm brakes would be perfect for your 98mm edollos, 115 brakes would be way too large.

Yeah I should have been more clear about that, it’s not a weird question at all. The brake sizes have big ranges, like for example I don’t think there even is a 105 size. the 95mm brake is absolutely the perfect fit for dollos. I’ve had countless 90s waist skis and pairs of Pivots, I wouldn’t even consider getting 115 brakes on them, they’d be way worse, too much width overhanging
