Spoiled gapers

Don't hate man. Think about it as a positive life lesson sorta thing. People are always going to have better stuff and be a lot more privileged and that's not their fault they just got lucky. There are kids way less fortunate than you are so just take a more positive outlook on things man. Live and let live.
 
So you went to COC and YOU are complaining other kids getting new ski stuff. You are in the top couple percent in terms of lucky ass kids. I lived in my car for a while man
 
i agree with everyone, dont care about them. however if they are total assholes to everybody because theyre rich, i hate them. if theyre nice dudes, get in with that crowd and score some free trips to windells with them haha
 
Hmm I'm thinking OP is a member of Clear Media and all this is doing is promoting their edits as shown by the last post "check the long boarding video, the editing is amazing" a comment coming directly after he just ripped them apart. Suspicious...

Also, my little brother knows those kids, and they ski at COP in Calgary, and I see them around sometimes, they aren't assholes, just not the best at skiing
 
This is exactly what I am thinking. Sure, its a progressive sport, and these kids might not be X-Games quality, but they are loving what they are doing, and they don't give two shits about what you think about them. Call me crazy, but I thought that the second edit was well done. Worry about your own shit, not theirs.
 
Also if you are in fact real OP who are you?

If you know these kids then that must mean you ski at COP and I'm there at least 4 or 5 times a week, so I know pretty much everybody there
 
Privileged kids taking advantage of what their parents give them. Like you wouldn't do the same?

Everyone gets a little jealous when they see horrid kids in xxxxxxxxxxxxl tee's and hundreds of dollars of gear, but do you really need to make a thread about it?
 
It does get on my nerves a bit, but if they were able to spend that much money on equiptment, then they must be passionate. It dosen't matter what you do and dont have, its what you are willing to give, and you passion for the sport
 
If Oakley gave him $1000 worth of products I don't think his video would be that awful. I could be wrong, do you have a link?
 
I know some kids like this, it's kind of annoying but unless they're being obnoxious or disruptive or reall jackasses on the hill it doesn't really bother me...
 
They do look a little spoiled, but not gonna lie, i liked the second video, good editing and filming, just looked like a good time. And 1:41 was a really good shot.
 
when I was a little kid my parents were broke. I mean really broke, apparantly at one point my dad couldn't buy a 6 pack because I needed a hair cut that month. I always had shitty gear but was probably more spoiled than later on once my parents had money. Really. My parents worked so hard to get my family ski passes and into skiing programs back then. If your parents are both making 6 figures, then dropping 10 grand a season is nothing. If they are broke, then the bare minimum to get their kids skiing takes a lot of sacrifices and compromises.

A lot of my friends had wealthy parents and all the latest gear and none of us even really cared. Kids don't (didn't?) really care what the other kids were wearing, they just wanna ski.

believe me kid, things could be much worse for you. you have a family and are well enough off that you have a disposable income large enough to ski.

Some people are born with rich parents, and some people are born with poor parents. Its not your fault who your parents are.
 
I think your understanding of gaper is off. These kids just seem to wanna have fun and get good at skiing, don't be jealous, just be thankfull your not gonna turn out such a brat because your not as sppoilt.
 
My friend and I actually won that same prize in the same contest haha.

It was actually based on kind of overall feel and everything, and pretty much how much the judges liked it. Like some other videos got hundreds and hundreds of likes on Facebook, which was supposed to be factored in to the judging, ours got like 100 or 150, and yet we came out right near the top haha.

And their video that year was not made that well, this years was, but I'm not entirely sure how they placed so high. Judges must have loved it.
 
Why does everyone think the jump below the cliff is so sketchy? It's a perfect jump to learn backflips on. Actually, it would be easier to flip that than straight air it I think...
 
Who cares about what they have..

On another note, they are gonna fuck themselves if they keep huckin those backflips. I see head to jump impact in their future...
 
Aren't there supposed to be coaches who make sure this kids aren't doing backflips if they take off like this?

on the other hand his front flip was not bad. I mean he could have extended more on the takeoff but at least he was patient with the flip.
