A group of kids in grade 9-10 went to camp of champs for the second time this year. the first year they learned how to 360 and this year a few of them learned backflips. They all have top of the line equipment that there parents bought them and have their own filming thing called clearmedia were they use expensive cameras and editing software. they think there all pros and one of them won a grand worth of Oakley stuff for his horrible video.

i have payed for every cent of my ski gear so nothing could piss me off more then watching a shitty edit of some kids flailing their arms in there expensive ski equipment.

I don't know who's idea it was to teach these kids backflips, they are not very smart about where they throw them (off that cliff booter where kid does 1.5 to his back).

also lol at them using a clean/edited rap song at the end of the first video
 
haha i have to rent my skis and can bearly ski more than 6 times a year... but they're just having fun, let them be, maybe their dreams will be shattered when they realise they can't be pros...
 
Lifes not fair. Some people struggle to buy their first car, and some people get an STi from their parents. these threads come up way too often on NS...

3. You made them sound a lot worse than they actually where they weren't pros but that second edit wasn't even that bad.
 
yeah they were even more annoying(not just because they have rich parents) than that swedish 13(I think) year old with the top video yesterday, but at least the swedish kid was amazing and had a great edit.
 
There are people in this world with more money than you, and there are people with less money than you. Be thankful for what you have, and who gives a shit if these kids are "good" or not? Is skiing all about being good? No, it's about having fun, which these kids are clearly doing. You should try it, eh?
 
So let me get this straight?

It only makes you mad when you see spoiled kids that are bad at skiing? Why should someone's talent level affect the way they dress? If someone wants to dress like Dumont, more power to them, they wouldn't do it if they weren't having a good time.

yeah I enjoyed the 2nd one, but then there was bits in it that just pissed me off, still good though.
 
ha, i'll admit it. i'm jealous as shit of those kids too. i would love to be spoiled like them.
 
yeah i enjoyed it, the skiing wasnt on par but the edit itself was pretty good. theyre just having fun. they might have more money or parents that buy them everything, but that doesnt mean anything. dont worry about what they do
 
Most of those kids are better at me in the park and have like 10x nicer things than me, but I am not jealous at all.
 
haha, thats funny. i think the only thing more sad then that edit is the idea of some kid who's consumed with envy and jealousy and bitches about it to convince himself that he is more deserving of the title of a "better skier" then the kids he talks shit about. why the fuck does it matter? don't act like you don't lead such a privaleged life you ignorent little shit.
 
i dont understand why you hate them... just because they are not as good as you. Who gives a shit if they have good gear because their parents bought it... i dont even see how that is relevant. stop being a jealous dick OP

shit if my parents wanted to buy me a buch of new stuff i sure wouldnt tell them not to. it seems like OP is mad jelly. willing to bet he is also not even as good as these kids and is in fact a gaper himself
 
There will always be people who have more than you. Some of those people will deserve it and some won't. Better get used to it, cause that ain't changing.
 
would be on your side, but... (since the 1st vid is boring im not gonna watch the second) from the 1st vid id say:

expensive camera equipment? a go pro? you can get that used for 100 bucks.

expensive gear? i saw hoodies and a bangs. def. not top of the line stuff.

and they look like 12, no way theyll find a job that pays them for ski equipment.

if youre parents had that sort of money and you were that age, wouldnt you accept those things they buy you?

but i agree, theres no need for a cocky/braggy attitude.
 
hey they were at COC last year when i was there and one of them switched their poles with mine because mine were shorter and thought i wouldnt notice, but i saw them do it and promptly took them back.
 
You should get over it. There is a new "crew" of kids at my mountain that are the same way, but it in no way effects me and my skiing, so its no big deal.

But that first edit looked like a crash edit, and who the hell let them try to kill themselves doing sketchy backies off that cliff kicker
 
I got a kid in my grade. hes got hotdogger full tilts Ar7's saga pants and tall tees wears his g's under his helmet - he cant even slide side ways or 180 - pisses me off
 
i see your point, and the kids may have been total dicks. but oh well, do your own thing and be chill! jealousy sucks, theres no point in it.
 
i can understand how even having the ability to afford skiing means we are in the top 10% of wealthy people and are very fortunate. And im not perfect i feel strong jealously when these kids get to go to coc to use the airbag and the pros as coaches its pretty much my dream to go there. my parents wouldn't pay for camp and if i ever go i would realize the value of the experience and get as much out of it as i can.

And BTW watch the longboard edits there decent but the editing is amazing
