ya you have more controll in deep powder and can turn on your tails more. like fins on a surf board

its called swallow tail it makes the tails sink (because of less surface area) so that it is easyer to keep your noses from diving

i never skied one of those, but i guess you can keep your binding a little more in the front (more control) and still have enough air under your nose

Sanouks are one of the lightest super fat skis out there. My friend had a pair mounted with dynafits and I could hold both skis with a finger.
