Splice and helmet help

since the splices kinda come out pretty far wats a good helmet to go with them im thinking a smith holt or a bern baker but are there any others that would be good
 
Does any other people have issues with the maze looking like a little shroom on the top of your head? i liked the fit and loved out light it was, but god it looked retarded on me.

any helmets in mind that dont sit light shit on your head when wearing a beanie under it with the earpads and padding out?

hopefully ill get some more answers by doing this..+k for legit responses.
 
I used to wear a giro bad leutinet (spelling is slaughtered on that probably) and thought the same thing

i wear a bern baker which usually does the trick. i rock a headband with it though instead of the the liner. they fit my crowbars pretty well too.

Only downside is hardhats are not as strong as your run of the mill ski helmet (giro, smith, etc) and are not whatever that review thing is approved for high speed or intensity impacts.
 
Poc receptor bug works real well with a beanie under it. If you take the padding out the velcro they use is really good cause it isnt real long or sharp and it wont rip your beanie...plus the earpads come out pretty easy and goggles can fit under it as well. This is the setup i rock actually, Poc Receptor bug tanner hall model with the Kaleidoscope Splices and i love it...fits perfectly...no goggle gap at all.
 
if u have a smith helmet u have to rep the smith gogs to so i would go with a tj poc helmet or a tanner hall poc helmet
 
slight thread jack, apologies, but does anyone have a picture of them wearing a holt with crowbars (or splices for that matter)?
since all this chat about mushroom isn't very appealing and shops near me don't stock it to try on it'd be good to get a pic.

Bern Hard Hat size XL looks good... picture in my profile. Size large... not so much.

So if you want a pretty weak helmet and have a huge dome youre all set.
 
I have the bern watts and it works perfectly with my splices and crowbars. And it's better than the baker because it has vents, and you can use it for longboarding biking skating whatever.
 
RED trace and variant brim both go nicely with splices. I find that the holt looks good on some people, but bad on others for some reason.
