SPK vs Booter

this year i got last year's SPK kaos, should i have spent a little extra money and gotten the booter? i initially didnt get a pair of booters because theyre so flexy and i felt i would have less control over my skis

Last year I had spk kreations and they felt really good til I got some bad shin bang and now I tried on drop kicks and they are amazing and pickin them up today

No point in spending the extra money. Salomon has a killer boot. Only reason that FT are alive is cus of wallisch and Seth. Everyone used that buckle system a long time ago and got rid of it.

If you fit the SPK then stick with that. You get all the extra padding and the Goo toe which you do not get with the FT's. They are some what heavier but really its not that much of an issue. Flex wise at 100 there pretty good, you may want them stiffening for pow and groomer shreding but its easy to do with the SPK.

Overall if the SPK fits stick with it.

That is not even close to being accurate. While Wallisch and Seth definitely help with marketing the brand, and when they were starting up getting them known, FT still makes a really great product

dalbello are better.

this is the mentality i see from 90% of kids with full tilts : " zomg i need light boots to do switchups and shit!" goes and buys full tilts despite a fat foot. " zomg i need full metal bindings coz i ski park!" "zomg im going to put my goggle strap under my helmet so when i fall the plastic adjusters get shoved into my skull!!"

dalbello are better for SOME people. I didn't just go to my ski shop and go straight for the full tilts; I got fitted for a boot, tried on a bunch, and the full tilt's fit me best. While there are certainly kids who buy FT's only because of the name, its not the case for everyone who has them

yes, but these boots in terms of fit are so f'ing different, the spk is a wide boot so if you have fat feet it would fit well. Fulltilt on the other hand is a more narrow boot, so if you have narrow feet, it would fit much nicer.

so to compare these boots is like apples to oranges, both fruit, but still very different.

Not really. The booter and spk have a similar last I believe. If he was comparing spks to hotdoggers you would be right.

Original fulltilt-99mm last

Booter-102mm

Spk-104mm

metal bindings actually take beatings much better IMO. With how expensive shit is now it makes more sense to me to get burly bindings as opposed to shitty plasticy bindings. I've seen so many plastic bindings explode on hard landings after accumulating damage over just a season.

Also I put my strap under my helmet so when I fall my goggles don't fly off :D (yes, this has happened to me)

Thats true but the booters have a low instep, so if you have high foot arches they may not fit. I have 29.5 spks and i wanted to try on some booters i went tried a 30 in a booter and it was much to small. So different company different fit.

I had kreations the last two year and i didnt like them i would always get toe bang but thats just cause i have super skinny feet besides that they were nice

Dalbello has a last of 98 last time I checked. Full tilt is 99, so therefor not the same fit. A mil is a pretty big deal

my bad. this is true. im in rampages but i also fit into 95mm race boots which seems weird coz the rampages are deffinately not too wide, though i just got new intuition liners...

You are going to get mixed opinions on both boots. I have the spk kaos and I love them. They feel like your feet are in pillows and are super comphy. The toe pad is super nice and I like the flex in the boots. These boots are very wide so would be better for people with wider feet which I have. I also tried the boaters at windells but I had do size down because that was the biggest size they had. Other then the squeeze I liked the boots. These are also a little wider at 102 so if you have a narrower foot I'd go to the hot doggers or drop kicks at 99

That being said if I could fit into an il moro I would rep them over my booters ANY DAY. Wide feet FTL.

nope, it doesn't. if you want to go by its true, dictionary definition, retard means slowed or delayed. But its basically never used that way, its pretty much used only to describe those who are actually retarded OR used as an insult by ignorant douches like you

You asked us if you should have gotten the booters instead. We don't know how they feel on you. Generally SPKs and Full Tilts won't work well for a person.

they feel fine but i havent ever skied on them. and i guess im weird cause SPKs and FTs generally both feel great on me

I have a pair of voodoo's right now but had a pair of hotdoggers before. The flex of a fulltilt is like none other and the intuition liners are prime. I'm thinking about possibly getting a pair of intuition liners for my voodoo's.
