Spk pros or kaos

i know there are other posts about this, but i need to know now what you guys think... they both fit my foot perfect. but what do you think, because im getting today.
 
One's stiffer than the other? Correct? Softer if your doing more park, stiffer if your not doing a tonne of park....
 
pretty much one in the same, except for the leather on the pros, my guess is that the leather is the reason they are stiffer too, because it could possibly be less flexible.

get the kaos.
 
ummm no, pretty sure leather doesnt make a boot stiffer if the leather is on the outside of a plastic shell. but anyway, the only difference between them is the price, leather, and the pro's have a better toe shock obsorber which you dont need really. get the kaos
 
pro has a better liner, more shock absorption and they are both the same flex. Dont kow how the pro will look after 50 days in it though. .
 
the SPK pros has a heat moldable liner

the Spk kaos has a partial moldable liner

the spk kreation does not have a moldable liner
 
watch Yeah Dude's first segment with JP, Julien, and Anthony and look at their footwear of choice, even thought they ride big/all mountain, and none of them are sponcered by salomon.
 
they are completely different

pro's are much stiffer, whereas koas and kreation are specific park skis.

get the ones that are most comfortable
 
the leather makes no difference on the stiffness of the boot.

No, they both have the same flex rating. I believe they are both 95. The difference is cosmetic, in the liner and shock absorber.
 
the liner is pretty much exactly the same. if anything, get last years spk boot, the shock absorber is thicker than this years kaos
 
totally wrong man, both same flex rating of 95, the kreations are an 85, from what the salomon rep told me, whihc i think he is wrong.. me..."Is there any difference in the boots besides the leather on the outside?" Chris Law (salo rep) " No, the leather is the only difference, basically your paying 100$ more for leather. I suggest you go with the kaos, its the same as last years spk."
 
Go with the Kaos, I've heard that the leather is falling apart on the pros. As far as the stiffness, they are both rated at 95. Save the cash and go with the Kaos
 
I made the decision to go with last years SPKs over this years kreations becasue they were in my price range.. I think that getting a better boot from last year is a whole lot better than paying the same price for a lower quality boot.
 
There is no difference at all between the Kaos and the Spk Pros. They have the same exact shell, liner, and shock absorber. The ONLY difference is that they are wrapped in leather. Dumont wanted to take the kaos and just deck it out and make it look more appealing.
 
actually you are wrong, there is a difference other than the leather, the leather wrapped ones have a better toe and heel shock obsorber. do research before you post.
 
After talking to guys at multiple shops, Salomon reps, and various other people adn websites.

The difference betwene pro and Kaos is this:



Pro has a fully heatmoldable liner

Kaos has a partially heat moldable liner

Pro has different (possibly better) toe and heel shock absorber

Pro has leather....obviously

Is it worth an extra $100...probably not, but if you have the extra $$ it's not a hugely unreasonable upgrade from Kaos to Pro.

Personally I'd rather have money for a ski trip or 3 so I'm going with the Kaos. I'll get them heat molded but I can wait a day or 2 while the liners pack out. That leather does look pretty fresh though.

 
Alright dude, all im saying is my salomon rep told me not to buy the pro models because there was no difference in the liner or anything. i think he would know. they have the exact same liner
