SPK or MOJO boots

So i cant really decide between last year's mojos or the SPKs. I know they are both good boots, but dont know what would be best for me. I ski park almost all the time, and a little backcountry sometimes. price doesnt matter. The SPKs are a little tight since I have big calfs, and the mojos are a lot more comfy. I can deal with the fit on the SPKs, so what do you guys think is better?

I'd say of the Mojos fit better, go with them. Head makes great boots, and I dont think you would be disapointed with the Mojo model.

deffinantly get the mojos because when you have been sking and hiking the park for 6 hours whith the boots that dont fit well you will know you made the wrong choice

I've got a pair of last years mojos and love them. They are super comfortable and stiff enough for some backcountry action when you want it. If you have a wider forefoot, consider the mojos over the the SPKs. I'm actually switching over to some Impact 10s this year because I want a tighter forefoot fit. Either way, go by what fits you best.

Ive had the spk and the mojos ther both good boots the spk is a little tight on the calf( i have big calfs too) the spk is much softer and very good for park while the mojo is good for park but it also kills it everywere else. i liked both very much!

whichever one is cheaper, would be my choice. Spks are lighter. i would look in the review section to see if other people have reviewed them.

the SPK is solely for park. dont expect to get the preformance you want out of them ripping down a groomer at 50mph, infact with those boots, i wouldn't even want to try. as for head, they have awesome boots right now, heat molding etc. great fit with so much more versatility and support throughout the day. that being said i wouldn't mind having a pair of SPK boots on an all park day. they're suuuper soft thus why they dont give you shin bang, one of their more marketable characteristics of that model. additionally, with the softness of the SPK, on hardpack, you're not going to get the responsiveness out of the boot you're most likely looking for because it flexes more than your ordinary boot, the SPK is not .....your ordinary.... boot. my advice, dont get them if you like to ski hard all day, especially BC (cliffs), lol. baaad idea, or more fairly, just not as good of an idea as with other boots like head, nordica, etc. SPK was generated solely to tap into the park skiing market. theres so many better boots out there that fit both the comfurt and preformance levels that most people look for. SPK is money in the park don't knock that aspect.

i say fuck that. a boot is a god damn boot. if it fits, wear it. no boot is going to keep you from cruising fast or doing shitty in the park.

haha, fuck that. the SPK isnt that stiff. it has a flex index of 95. the thing is with that boot is that it has a lot of padding. and hardley any foward lean.

in essence just get what ever feels better on your foot.

yea honestly just because your gear wasnt specifically designed for something doesnt mean it will suck horribly in that aspect. you obviously wouldnt buy spks for bc, but if you happen to have spks you're not restricted just to the park

whatever fits you best,,,,spks have that string which tightens it evenly so no pressure points, anti shin bang, shock absorders, and a lot of padding, i love mine

if you want to ski stuff other than park, get the mojo, but i would suggest the technica agent 100. sooo nice

Wow, I was ready for you to say "if you use the spk boot outside of the park rabid baboons will chase you and eat your legs off". Thats pretty much the only thing you didn't say when you were knocking on them.

i have just got the spk pro's they are stiffer than the skp kaos, agreed that the kaos is not the best boot for all mountain performance but the pro model will perform great everywhere.

go for what is the most comfy, i have small calfs so i got spk's. most importantly is the fit and then the performance

i have the white mojos with the snake... original model? anyway theyre nice but the strap moves around a lot and i had to get them blown out a little, but with a foot pad and the heat fit theyre real nice for bc and all over terrain, not big in the park so i dont know bout that so much, very stiff.

fuck them all. buy my rear entry raichle boots for $25, save a few hundred dollars and buy a shit load of kebabs. mmmmmmm, laaaaaaaaamb.....
