SPK, FT, Dalbello, or Tecnica?

they all seem to offer sweet boots, but iv heard bad things about SPKs outside the park, (although im sure its minimal) and full tilt and tecnica are more ex$pen$ive.

thoughts..?
 
im not going to be an asshole and surchbar you, but you really do need to go to a bootfitter. they are all radically differently fitting boots. remember, a minor shape change in boots can equal major differences on snow. also, you should not worry much about cost. i would rather pay 700 for boots that fit perfectly and have to sacrifice something else than to go bargain hunting and end up with boots that don't fit. so go to a bootfitter, keep an open mind, and good luck
 
A very good answer. You could have the most expensive most technically advanced boot in the world and that doesn't mean shit unless it fits you properly.

Just go to a shop and get fitted. Tell them what you want and as long as you have an honest shop you'll get the perfect boot for you. Don't listen to idiots like the one above me who just say "I have this boot, buy it, its sick!" And I'm paraphrasing of course.

i rode them all last season and they were great
 
yes go to a bootfitter you have about a 25% chance your foot is the proper shape for the shell you pick, and do some research to find a qualified boot fitter. you can always check out the masterfit university website for shops that they certify.
 
It all depends on what your looking for...
flex = ft and dalbello
stiffer spk and tecnica

i had the technica agents and got massive shin bang...
i have heard good things about both dalbello and ft
i'm probably getting the ft hot doggers.
spks are also supposed to be a solid boot but stiffer
 
a brannock will only measure foot length and then only in us measurements you need one with mondo sizing and again go to a bootfitter

 
ok a very good boot fitter can, if your feet are properly measured aspects to all areas of the foot and a li'l idea of you ability and a li'l more they are able to fit you in the right boot the first time i do it all the time. but i've also learned from some of the best and years of experience
 
what? are you joking??? brannock measures foot, last and flex point. obviously you have no experience fitting boots, basicly it's all you need and u can put somone into a boot in one try. a size 8 is a 26, 2+6=8!!!!! yay and so on. you basicly size down 1.5 to 2 sizes from what is measured depending on the brannock device which you get used to very quickly.
