Spk boots

everyone i know seems to have em. not too many complaints so im guessing theyre good.
 
I returned them after about 2 runs, i know i am supposed to wait to break them in and what not but they are just incredibly too stiff for my enjoyement. I tend to lock me heels super far forward when i do just about everything and it realy just didn't let me do that making it very hard to spin and to ride switch. whatev though just my prefferance.

i got it a size or 2 bigger than my foot so wen u do bigger jumps ur toes dont hit the front i i fuckin loved em never got shin bang once
 
your foot has to be swimming in those things!!! haha. i bought mine a size small and once they packed out they are still a little big.
 
i had shin bang really bad so that it hurt to just touch them. then i made the decision to go buy them, and my shins didnt hurt at all even though i had teh bang already. love them.
 
my friend has them, loves them, my other friend has dalbello's, loves them, i have mojos, love them, so try on a lot of boots (it doesn't cost anything) and see which ones you like best
 
i like mine, I had to put some shit under the insoles to add padding and tighten up the fit, but once I did that they're mint. I like having a wider boot cuz you can always modify them cheaply and quickly to fit narrower but punching boots out is a much bigger production.
 
definitely wide.

i have a size 13 foot and they are extremely wide and flat. i got a 29 spk which is a 11.5 for salomon mondo point and they fit perfectly. they are an amazing boot. not too stiff but not too soft either.
 
They have three models, two flexes. 85 and 95. The Kreation is the blue one with 85 flex, Kaos is this years one basically with 95 flex and the pro model is the one that has the leather wrap and also 95 flex. They all come with different liners and different cushionings.
 
I really like mine. I have pretty wide feet and they fit me perfectly. The overall fit is different than traditional boots, which took a bit of getting used to, but for me I don't think I could go back!

Like everyone said though, make sure they actually fit your foot.
 
For god sakes people, stop jumping on the bandwagon on these things,

you talk about snowboarders being trendy. If you want a high end

freestyle boot there are a lot of good options, all of which will be

sick if you get them fitted. You dont buy a boot because its

cool, you buy a boot that fits your foot. Shit a pair of X-Wave 8s that

fit your foot will be better than a pair of SPK's 2 sizes too big. Go

to a shop, and tell them you want a freestyle boot. If its a legit shop

they will fit you for any number of good boots and find the one thats

right for you. After some debate and a bit of encouragement (thanks

nomensteven) thats what I did. I found that the SPK fit me well with my wider foot, better than the other boots i tried on.

On that note, if they fit your foot and you tried them on and such, they are a sick boot and by all means go for it, but you will be better off with something less fancy should the SPK not fit you well.
 
i tried em on and they were a little too loose on me. but i have narrow feet. i got the nordica superchargers and i love em. the tongue is a little stiff and gives me shin bang if i really abuse my self.
 
my friend has em and loves them. but check out the foil boots too. i have em and theyre super comfy. dont buy online. go to a store, get sized for the best boot for your foot shape. then once you know what your getting buy em online if theyre cheaper.
 
you are the biggest retard in skiing, i hope you enjoy your nub status you will never improve. Size down and your toe wont bang. and the reason you never got shin bang is because you suck.

oh and for the boots they are amazing, wide toe box so if you have a narrow foot i would look into somthing else. but the width is nice for balance on rails, next years have a toe pad in the front and are stiffer.
 
thats a big kick in the balls to the shop that spent its time to help you find the right boot. for exactly that reason, my shop is charging a sitting fee next year if you end up not buying boots from us. if you do, the fee gets knocked off the cost of the boots so it ends up even. sucks that we have to do that, but way too many people come into the shop expecting free advice and then buying online. you dont get the personal service online that you do from a real shop.
 
i hate mine, i broke them in a month and they make your feet cramp, but it is pretty much a personal opinion when i comes to boots, they have gotten better after breakin but still the FOIL boot would have been better.
 
I completely agree. You should not use a shop for sizing and then order online. The personalized service is part of the price. You will never get the same experience online as you will from a good shop. If everyone starts to do this, there won't be any good shops left to help you get the right boots!!
 
when u use them on a warm day it feels like your wearing shoes that u can ski in its pretty awsome. sick boots
 
heard a few good things but dont buy them unless you are a good skier. not jumps and stuff but actual skiing. if you can barley link turns you will be back seat and suck even more.
 
no the blue one is the kaos and next years version of this years one is the kreation. yo uhave the flexes right tho
 
i was thinking about getting these boots and now i am on the total opposite end of the spectrum i like the way high end stiff boots fit my foot much better.
 
what happens for the kids who are trying on boots that say other shops dont carry? i know some shops may carry one boot but another shop may not.

comparing boots may go outside the shops boundarys, then again if your tight with the shop you shouldnt have a problem. right? besidesssss my ski shop owes me mad cash. ive basically spent half my life savings in that shop. even got offered a job.
 
ive got a super wide foot, so the spks were really the only boot that felt good on my foot, and i definitely love them, sick boot for sure
 
yeh i definitly would. i used to wear 27.5 and got 26.5. now this could be because i never had the right size boots to begin with, or they packed out. i almost wish i got 25.5 even, but anyways try these fuckers on in a store make sure you know what ur buying. as it could lead to the comfort or pain for ur next season
 
How does the foil differ from the Spk? What other boots are good for mostly park and some all mountain? I don't know if my shop carries all the good boots...
 
Did noone else find it extremely hard to adjust to the spk's? I swear I got so broke trying everything I usually can crank out first try, not to mention how hard it is to ride switch in those things.
 
Im pretty sure these are just beginner boots with 2 buckles. Basically you are paying extra for a boot that every joey rents.
 
i baught these boots about a half size big from what was instore, for the main reason that i cant pay 550 bucks for a boot that wont fit me next season. the guy in the store neglected to tell me about how much they pack out.

anyway. after a few days on them, i noticed that it wasnt holding my heel in as much as it should. i could lift them about a half inch out(which sounds small, but it makes a big difference)

i also found overal that the boot gave me shitty responce on anything that wasnt straightlining into a jump. aka groomers, steep shit...

overal, the spk wasnt as much as i had hoped it would be. but i am pretty optimistic it will fit me better next year. i just hope my foot grows a little bit.
