I just got a pair when I went down to aspen. Best boot ive ever been on by far.

The padding on the heel helps so much. I wanted to case jumps. The draw string on the tongue fits super tight to your shins so you will have way less shin splits.

get these boots next year!!!

i feel the same way about the new scratch boot...super soft and flexible, however i would like to try the new SPK boot to compare

I'm really interested in them, but I don't kknow if I'm gonna be in the park next season as much as I am this season, any feedback on how they are out of the park would be nice

why??

how does it stay tight around the whole foot with only 2 buckles? is it the same concept as the dallbello rampages, thats what i have now, but that still has three buckles.

until i try it on and feel the boot for myself, i'll stick with my gun pro models. i will never be able to trust a soft boot, no way.

i cant wait to get my hands on a pair. i will addmit i am a park rat but what can you do when you live in the midwest, my "hill"(actualy if you look on a map its a hole) has a total of a wopping 154 feet of vertical. so all mountain performace dosnt matter to me.

Soft bootboard=less control

2 buckles=less control

soft flex=less control

thick liner=less control

super light=cool for jibbing, doesnt matter for anything else.

Awesome idea for a jib boot, if you spend a ton of time hiking rails these are by far the best idea for a boot available to you. If you ski outside of the park a bit however, there are definately beter boots for you.

i was talking with the salomon rep and he said that they were going to be pretty stiff, like a 9.2 or 92 flex( i had no idea wat he was talking about but thats waht he said)

pretty much the illest boot i have ever put my foot in. so freaking comfortable, it's like you just put your foot in a big thing if pillows. they're not soft either, as most people would think.

why does everyone think these are going to be extremely soft or unskiable? they'll probably be about the same stiffness and performance all mountain as 1080 boots, just improved for impact and comfort. and i think they have an inner liner with drawstring, thats how they stay tight with only 2 buckles

also when was the last time anyone used their toe buckle?

The purpose of having your boot tight is so you have more control.

The purpose of having a harder boot board is so you have more control.

The purpose of having a thinner, stiffer liner is so you have more control.

Having a drawstring liner that makes the liner feel tight does not increase the performance at all. It just makes it more comfortable.

The boot is not an all mountain boot, it is a park boot. That is what salomon is making it for. Park. Hence the name.

skier x on them? i have read all the above stuff, but opinions and descriptions are confusing. i wanna have fun in the park, but still compete in skier x, could i with the spk?

I have tried them on only and judging from my ten minutes in them... They are a PARK boot! Imagine that. Will they work out of the park? Ya but not for cliff hucking and high speed charging.

Keep in mind pinner is just that... a pinner! He is not that big and doesn't weigh all that much. (sorry mike no offense) Also he is an amazing skier that could all mountain ski in anything!

Personally I think the 1080 will be for those skiers who ski the whole mountain and the park. SPK is jiby jib to the fullest. (quite a sick boot)

My only complaint is the lace on the liner. It doesn't do much and gets in the way.

yea thats what i was thinking too... im going to try them on when my rep gets them...but im not sure about buying them. i really need a better freeride boot tho... mine are so stiff...like race boots.

Let's set it straight: The SPK is a park / jib boot. It's not as soft as everyone thinks it is, but it is not ideal for allmtn skiing. It feels sweet for a jib boot, fits like a skate shoe. If it's more than the park you're shredding, check out next year's pro model gun boot. Werd.

Thats kind fo like saying that you cant take a park ski out on the rest of the mtn or big mtn. Im sure that they wont have the same performance as many of the stiffer boots on the market but im sure they will be skiable anywhere you want to go.

Flynn, you're going to have to back down from this one, because apparently the boot holds its own pretty much everywhere... For two buckles it's really quite stiff and the design is not a big compromise to performance. Zach was riding them at LOTP. I won't be sold until I try them because... well, we all saw the hype coming, but there's more promise there than I thought there would be upon first seeing a picture of the concept, that's for sure.
