SPK boot lace?

Were do you put the boot lace comming out of salomon SPKs?

Referring to last years model. I own the spk kaos and my buddy has the spk pro. I think they both (atleast the kaos do) have the lace with a piece of plastic (says salomon on it) at the end. There should be a small slot around the top part (where you insert your foot) where you put it in. The left boot's slot is on the left side of the boot and vice versa with the right.
