SPK boot issues (not a should i buy thread)

Now I had my SPKs for like 11days skiing at the end of last season and I'm not entirely happy with them. Just wanna know if this is normal.

First, I get huge movement from the liner in the shell. Like i can fully move it from side to side and it's not my foot in the liner as they fit tighter than a tiger. Normal?

Seond, On one boot I've had the booster strap pop out of both rivets so am currently without a booster strap. Now i have tried pretty hard to put it back and get anywhere. Warranty issue/will they repair it for me?

Thirdly, two heel plates have fallen off/shattered on landing and when walking around. I don't undersatnd why this would happen twice, once could be forgivable.

Shall i just send the back to salomon?

Other than that they're sweet boots if they fit you proper.

sounds liek u got some lemons, i would definelty send them back to salomon, they are really good with warranties. They should send u a new pair.

Take it to the shop you got it from. They might be able to exchange it. If not they will tell you how to get ahold of Solomon. You should really warranty that. I have a pair and there sweet. No problems at all. (knock on wood) I had to drill a little out of the boot around the bridge of my foot now they fit like hestra golves on my hand.

hwo would that help him? lyndon made a gnarly thread on buying ski boots, not what the problem with some spk boots is. Just call, or go to the shop u bought them at, u should get a new pair

Yeah guys, even with a PM i could easily help him.

As Steven said, sounds like you got a faulty pair. Salomon should replace them, or at least repair them for you.

Dude, you are an absolute idiot.

THE LINER MOVES WITHIN THE SHELL...

Suprisingly i got fitted, tried kryptons, SPKs, Guns, Langes and the rossi equivilants and the only boot that fit was the SPK.

The liner is a 28.5 and the shell 28/28.5 so i know that's all correct.

They are definitely not "02 protos".

To Lyndon and Steven, cheers for the help boys. I know it was pretty obvious but i was just putting it there.

Dude, there shouldn't be room for the liner to move within the shell. Your foot should be fitted to the shell. If there's movement, it's the wrong boot. Go and tell me I'm wrong again, I won't reply.

Don't reply if you feel it's not neccessary man. This is just rediculous.

I completely understand what you mean, which is why i'm asking the question is it normal. Now believe it or not, I pretty much knew that it wasn't normal.

Now my feet could not be any tighter within the liner, there is mild pressure on the inside of my foot at it's widest point. Now i have stupidly wide feet (I can take pictures if you desire...) and this is the only boot that has ever fit me properly without blowing it out apart from some of the head boots.

Don't think i'm an ignorant kid who bought SPKs because they look wicked and will make me a better skier. I spent 4weeks deciding whether they were right or not and demod them twice to make sure they were alrite (neither of the demo pairs had this movement issue).

I had the rivet pop out of one of the buckles, just sent them back and they got fixed. The guy who I spoke to (I sent them straight to Salomon) said these were the first they had returned since release.

Ok man, sorry. Still, if the shell did fit your foot properly it would be impossible for any side to side movement to happen, know what I mean?

Don't worry about it man, it's sweet.

I understand what you mean, and can see why you'd think that. Sorry for refering to you as an idiot...

I phoned Salomon and they were like send 'em back and they'll sort me out another pair. Sahweet.
