I have spent my entire day running from shop to shop looking for some new boots for this year. In the end I like the SPK's for their fit and flex. the model was last years (2014) SPK 100's. The price at the shop however was $433 which included free heat molding, custom work, and guaranteed 100% return policy. But after looking online and seeing the same model (in the wrong sizes) in the $200 range that price is looking rather steep. So is this an outrageous price for these boots, and if so where could I look?

If they are doing fitting and a garentee I the boot then that is fine. fottin can get expensive. Make sure they are offering you custom footbeds and go for them. It will add a Couple if hundred bucks but is te most important part of the fit. The other thin is if your a common size your size is prob sold out most places. Most shops only have really big aizes left this time of year hence the cheap price. You may find finding your size online is not quite a cheap as you expect so just buy from the shop.

I have SPK 100s and they have been awesome, even though I didn't get them fitted. If you like the feel of them in the shop go for the cheap ones and you won't regret it
