no he didn't......thats off of ski pass.the buckles are off of this year's SPK, the liner is this years, the strap is this years, and if you look at the bottom there is a little red park sticking out from this years graphic. Someone just modded their boots.
 
you are correct: it's a prototype. The plan (as I understand it) is to have 2 SPK's next year, a pro model similar to the picture and then the regular model.

 
you may very well be right - but all that is changed in the above boot is the shell color, and nothing else. so whoopedee doo?
 
If I remember correctly the team boot has more features (rubber footbed and gel tongue) I might be wrong though, it was a while ago when I saw them... a little disappointed they made the consumer boot with no footbed??? seems like they half-assed it from what i saw last winter.
 
You are wrong my friend. We don't half ass anything at Salomon. What you saw if it was last year was an earlier version of the spk boot the only difference was that the old buckles where round as they were prototypes. The current SPK boots are the same as all of our team riders boots.

 
Your hella stupid and should be killed. Someone just out an overboot on the shell of the boot. You can clearly see some red from the graphics on the shell under the overboot.
 
No probs. Your seeing a prototype cosmetic. Yes you are seeing this years last under it. Next years will be different looking.

i like it, but it would be sweet if the boot under it would be like a light brown, or instead of having that leather stuff ( which looks sick) have cordoroy material.....

It's composite and there is a difference.
 
I just got a pair, so I'll let you know how they work for a big guy as soon as I get skiing.

I've asked the people at Salomon to confirm/deny the presence of these leather boots as well, so we'll get the straight truth.

Exerpt from the people at Salomon:

So there ya go! The boots are in fact 08 pro models.

 
dang those boots are pretty sick hopefully they come out with a couple of designs. This is a move in the right direction for skiing sick.
