Spirit

you have no idea im on ski team and we help the park crew set stuff up today then we got to be the only ones in the park everything is sooooooo nice this year it opens full time staturday nicest set up ive ever seen spirit put out
 
i had to drive to west duluth today and on my way i saw from afar what looked to be like a few tables with NICE big landings . im guessing they have some stuff up. to bad i work tomorrow otherwise id be there for a few
 
they do the right line is set with nice jumps (wasnt suppose to hit them but being a bad ass i hit the first one and it was nice) all the rails are like perfect but pretty low most arnt nutable with is good i guess. but everything is really nicely set up i think everyone will like the results
 
starts with the man eater goes to teh flat down flat stay to the right and a circle flat down and the banana are there go all the way across the park for the s rail and urban is kinda by the showtime jumps that arnt up yet. and the jumps flow right into the show time jumps this year instead of having to go around trees or shit. and the s rails got super nice lighting for night
 
how was spirit how did it look today.

i am interested in this even thoguh i wont be able to go there until next weekend when i have off next.

^ The park is ok... I got to ride it on glare ice so i couldnt do much but this is the set up: Trap Box, fdf rail, 3 big jumps in a line (all about 55ft.), banana rail, round fd, s rail, down rail, up down rail... and showtime which is retarded (78 feet...) I am pretty impressed but now it just has to get groomed well and warm up...
 
the jumps are really good and pop you really high from what ive seen and the first one is 68 the second one is about the same and the third is 50ish and showtime actually looks really nice and has a decent landing this year
 
i went to day they got a new wall up pretty lame but the rails were good depsite having to hike because they closed the lift and the 45 mph wind

I was out there today. I fell headfirst down the second cliff in a double stager and now my back feels a little weird. Good thing it was only about a four foot cliff.

spirit is BAD ASS. i went last night and despite everything being ice i can say i was really impressed. they have a rails that are ride on. but that will prob change. and the jump line is VERY respectable for midwest standardss spirit has no speed on there park but i think itll be aight. this year
 
I'll be there tomorrow I think. Hopefully my knee will be feeling good enough to hit a jump or two. I'll be the only dude with 189 seths...gotta get on em before Montana in a week...
 
posting here from St. Mary's Hostpital in D-Town. 2nd night hanging out in the ER due to spirit's lack of speed to hit any of their jumps.

I dislocated my left shoulder yesterday after hitting the knuckle doing a 7 and james hit it today doing a 9 and gashed his elbow open, it was bleeding everywhere.

anyways it was a party. follow cam on the tobaggon was super cool.

every year spirit takes a shit on us.
