I figured it would be nice to have one place to talk everything Spirit. Park updates, pictures, edits, questions, comments, anything and everything!
 
First update; big park hopefully open on saturday. Mini park park still up with 18 features.

Heck yes. Can't wait for the big park to open! I should be out there tomorrow during the day if anyone else wants to join.
 
Is anyone going to be there tonorrow that wants to shred with me?

Things about me that will make you want to chyl.

-im fat therefore i can be be funny because fat people are funny

-i currently cant hit any junps or rails for the rest of the year so you can make yourself look better

-who doesn't want to ski with me because im awesome.

I might be down, I work tell 5 but I'm not sure if I'll be out after or not (bruised my hip super bad so I've limping everywhere for the last 3 days).

I will, don't know when I'm coming to spirit next. Hopefully over break with a real Finn from Finland. Haven't seen him in almost three years.
 
someone should try to transfer the end of the 100 footer from the lip, i don't care how it's done, get towed in by an airplane if needed, just someone do it.

Spirits park is starting to look tasty!! Hi Allen lam!! And everyone who has never seen me post in the last 8 years:)
 
word, spirit park is arguably best park in midwest, agree / disagree , let's hear it! plus, the halfpipe is making its return this weekend...and don't forget about The Ski Hut throwdown event on Saturday...fun for all!

came home this past weekend to ski on the 20 degree comp day. The three jump line is still awesome and is super fun. Rails are a blast to hot lap through and the skiers were throwing the fuck down.

It was by far the most fun I had this year. Looking forward to coming home soon to ski.
 
word is the HUNDRED FOOTER is going in at some point the week of Feb 9...stay tuned and the crew will be updating everyone very soon...for now, enjoy the refresh & installs throughout The Parks...halfpipe is super fun, too!

not gonna lie, the halfpipe is useless....the walls arent vertical so you cant get real air and do any real tricks out of it
 
pipe is def getting better and better each week, and should be pretty prime for the coming weekend with another cut going down later this week...mark your calendars for our PIPE JAM with Red Bull going down this Friday, February 13, 6p-8p...gonna be sweet!

Ive never noticed any welding... just them being put close together with a tiny step down in between

HUNDRED FOOTER...connected, installed & readied to slide! Also, the halfpipe jam on Friday night is open to all skiers & riders...should be a good time for all as the pipe will be freshly cut overnight tonight with a fresh and the crew will be adding some new features, too! 5:30pm at the pipe!

If it's open to skiers and snowboarders then it needs to say that on the website. On the site and on Facebook if says snowboarders
 
How's the snow? Did the recent storm get rid of the ice for now? Thinking of making a day trip this weekend. Slightly afraid of the crowds though.

For the most part there is no ice

I was finally able to go yesterday and the snow was deep in places and you will get a few core shots in others.

I spent the whole day skiing through the woods so i can't really say how the park is doing.

Snow is fantastic at the moment. Also as far as crowds go I dont think there are any real big events going on. Also even when there are its never really that busy in the park homie

Great to hear about the snow! Only asked about crowds because presidents day weekend is the busiest time of the year for every ski area in Minnesota. Everyone and their grandmother just decides to go skiing. Keep rippin out there!
 
yeah, snow is very nice...those 6" this past week along with the flurries here over the weekend have kept all fresh...more snow chances this coming week, too!
 
Skier with camo pants riding down four pipe waved at me today when i was riding up the lift.

who are you?
 
Spirit really should paint a line across the knuckles of at least the big jumps like once or twice a week. Duluth is plagued by flatlight more often than not so its impossible to do anything really interesting and also spot your landing when everything is white.
