Spins in radians

why do we call spins in degrees, i.e. 360's, 720's etc. Why not radians. 2π's or 4π's.

Haha I was thinking about this the other day. My calc teacher said that we shouldn't even be using degrees at all, that we should've learned radians from elementary school instead of degrees.
