I was wondering what is the most amount of spins have you seen or heard of done on skis by a freeskier and did it have style.

 
i heard eric bergoust did a triple backflip with five twists aka 1800 but he´s an aerialist...

what´s,the length of aerial skis anyway?????????

1440 is the highest i´ve heard.

Yeah, CR busted the 1440 when he was 16 or 17... I actually thought it was kind of stylie, he was spinning so fast. But I guess people didn't think it had much style, so he just decided to do corked 1260 lui kangs. :)

i thought hid 1260 in 13 is cool cuz he spins so fast and goes so much off-axis it almost looks a bit like a d-spin

I heard rumours of a couple guys doing 1620s out west. Never saw any proof, but i wouldn't be surprised if it's been done.

 
One of teh scrab brothers did a 1800 off a water ramp on normal skis, but thats a water ramp and they are the scrabs.

I dunno how long their skis are... i would say probably like 160 or so, you need some tail on the ski to land such huge airs. Maybe shorter i dont know

i think i heard what i thought was a lie 2160 some aerial guy or something but he slid out a bit but regained balance it was on a post a while ago and some guy said it was a lie oh well

i know cr did a few 1440's, but there are people that have said that both him and Nick mercon have pulled up to 1620 now. that would be sweet to see, but get old, it would have no style

 
schrabs suck, they do technical stuff, but im still to see a stylie jump out of one of them.

forget big spins like 1800. were just getting more into aerials now. stick with style. quality. not quantity.

I think arealist skis are like 140 or 150, they really look short, def not 160.

I saw the schrabs at the warren miller movie. They had a question session, the mc's like 'any questions' and I was gonna yell out 'what about style?' but I was a pu$$y.

 
I know this guy named mark brennan, you might know him as the guy who started this forum, but anyway he say he's gonna go for the 1620 this year at kirkwood. Maybe he can settle these roomers and have proof of a 1620.

I'm sick of this shit talk 'A 1800 would be stupid' If a pro could do one, they could put a liu kang in it or Japan and I would pick that over a d9 any day. I'm only 16 and i have more respect for the old school than you guys do. Come on.

 
yeah I guess...big spins personally dont look as good as a dspin or like a snow 720 tail...but they are sweet...they take so much balls...if u just under rotated or over rotaed a little going that fast u could break ure legs

I wrote this forum question because I wanted to know if anyone has pulled a 1620. I wanted to get peoples opinion if they thought a trick like that would be sick. I will try a 1620 this year at kirkwood I will cross it up because its gotta have style or else it's just not worth doing. Thanks for the input. Peace

 
i agree that style is important when you jump, but i also have to give props if a guy can go out and do a 1620. 4 and a half spins is a lot and it would be pretty hard to do that.

JF therien was going for a 1440 and stopped spinning when he was at one feet of the ground and he could have easily spinned the last 180 for a 1620

the most i have heard of is a 1440 by cr, but that is just too fast and there can't possibly be any style put into the trick.
