Spinning off of cliffs

sometimes when i try to 3 off a cliff, I over rotate it to 400-450. this happens on cliffs regardless of size so both 5 and 15 footers. Any tips on landing straight in the fall line and riding out clean?

The current technique I use is to drive the spin with my shoulders and hips so my skis follow, but I still keep on over-rotating.

Also, I have no problem getting the rotations smoothly in the park, its only on cliffs that i face this problem

Are you hucking hard enough? You really need to wind up and throw your arms like a cheerleader to spin into the future. If you want to land on your feet, chuck your meat.

Ski into the cliffs faster, it will be a little harder to whip a crazy fast spin.

Also it will look cooler

try to float it more like a 180 suck up your knees then spot and do a 180, landing forward

this. if you watch any pow landings of pros they get their rotation around almost into the pow. slow the shit down. best stomps are when you hit the snow with 10 degrees left to rotate.

I still cant spin a cliff or flat takeoff consistently for the life of me. I land maybe 1 in 5 or so clean and I try every god dam time I go skiing. It is by far the most frustrating thing for me when I ski. I always seem to end up corked out and land on my side or backslap like a mofo. Doesn't seem to matter about speed it still happens. Sorry for kinda thread jacking.
