Spinning differently in Switch

I spin left like most people when going off a jump forward but when I go switch, because I look over my right shoulder generally I've got used to spinning right off jumps.

I was wondering if anyone else did this or whether I'm just a freak?

I'm not amazing, only got up to switch 3s, I don't know if maybe it would be easier when i get to bigger spins to start going left?

It's probably because you aren't very good at riding switch and heavily favor your right shoulder. I can almost guarantee you'll struggle to get past switch 1's for a while if you spin left naturally and try to learn rightside 3's and 5's first. Practice swapping shoulders every time you carve when you ski switch, you'll get way better all around.

I do the same exact thing and I feel like it's because I learned to ride switch looking over my right shoulder. I have a hard time riding switch looking over my left shoulder.

but for me, spinning right is easier than setting for and going off a jump looking over my left shoulder. Just do whatever is easier.

You must have some issues carving right switch if you only look over your right shoulder. You should pretty much be changing which side you are looking over based on your turn direction.

Clearly none of you fools have any idea how to ski switch. Learn to do that, then hit jumps switch. Just like you should learn to turn before hitting rails.

this is normal, i can ski switch looking over my right shoulder way better then my left, but i spin left. i had to force myself to learn how to ride switch looking over my left. If you watch older Candide he used to saran wrap off jumps (looking over his right shoulder but spinning left) same with rory bushfeild as well. it's a common issue but i would say if you spin left then just take the time to learn how to ski switch looking over your left shoulder. it's all mental.

I just realized I do this, haha. I spin to the right, and switch I spin to the left.

I think it's cool though, for some weird fucking reason I spin twice as fast when I spin switch, I would do switch 5's off a 2 foot jump, and could only do like a 1 off the same jump going straight.

Although I've never done switch off a big jump, I feel like I'd get off balance and fuck myself, I can spin going forward over big jumps tho

Ive been thinking about my riding style now, and I realize I do this weird thing kind of similar to this. I normally spin left, but when I hit rails I always jump on to the right. Im not sure I have ever actually hit a rail with the right foot forward.

i favor 270s and SU with counterclockwise

Prefer lipside or getting turning clockwise

Spin better clockwise

rodeos licolns counterclockwise

depends on how you initially learn a skill

I have that exact same problem. It just feels so weird trying to look over my left shoulder when skiing switch. I think I just need to practice more.

I only have the problem of being able to spin more switch than regular. Would much rather switch spin a jump first than normal spin.
